Girls are on their way to the Loop for job possibilities. They need employment for $$$ and also experience! Working in the loop should be more interesting than a shopping mall!

I'm still trying to figure out my ticket situation. I'm at my Mom's for her 87th birthday from the 18th through the 22 and have a wedding the next weekend. Possibly - dare I say it? - the matinee on the 29th?

Moony, you can get an Amtrack ticket to New Brunswick. That's about 10 minutes from me. I wasn't going to that performance, but if need be, I could always force myself to go again.
Addy, yes, June.

Moony, a certain Tinky and Mr. Happy will be at the closing performance. Perhaps there will be some left over birthday cake although with my fans you have a better chance of hitting the lottery.

Warm here. Looking over invoices and wondering why the seasoned lawyers here cannot follow basic billing practices.

ETA: Two more heard from. My favorite: the entitled one complaining how hard she worked and this is the LOWEST grade she's ever gotten. I would have to say she's incredibly lucky if a B+ is the lowest grade she's ever gotten.

5 emails this morning already, all complaining about grades of B or B+. This f*cking semester is never going to end.
They need to think about this when they pile up absences of 4 or more classes, stroll in at whatever time suits them, rarely participate in class discussions and hand in their work late (in one case, six weeks past the deadline.) All of which is explained to them -- ad nauseum -- throughout the semester, indeed, since their first day in the school. (These are juniors.)
I'm ignoring them, as per the chair's advice.
But man, it burns me how entitled these kids are. "I want an A." Well, I want a formal dining room. What's your point?

Day 2 of final exams here. We've all been up since 4:30am when an hour-long thunderstorm rolled through the region. The house shook and the walls vibrated. At that point, you might as wel;l get up make coffee.
