My feet hurt. I could use a few more hours of sleep. But all worth it.
I'll be interested to watch the recording of last night, to see how things played on TV, versus in RCMH. Overall, it was a nice night. Not the best Tony Awards production I've ever seen, but I enjoyed that the awards went to a variety of shows.
As always, I think they could have cut a few things to make room for some of the really important Tony's that were given before 8pm, so not seen live. But, I know the producers also have to play to the larger TV audience...
Audra. How amazing was that?
Happy travels, YWIW. Happy Monday to all.

I only got to see the first hour and then switched to GOT. Will youtube the rest of the performances later. But I have never been so blind going into a Tony season. The only things I knew about any shows were what you guys talked about here. I'm so bad. Need to see a show ASAP!!

We took the girls and the boyfriends to Les Miz. The boys enjoyed it, even the freak kept his anxiety in check - great night! The BF's are now baptized into the family!
Crappy Monday indeed! Spent a few hours at a predator towing shop. They tried to extort $600 to get my car!
It will never be ok to me that Book and Score are not given out on the telecast. 1. The awards ARE awards that the people actually watching the show care about and 2. It is the freaking backbone of the musical theater. Grumble.
Also, what was up with all the half produced song bits?
I understand that some technical awards are cut (and in this case I understand why they cut the In Memorandum because while it totally should have been on the show, they need to produce that better)
but still- the stuff they DID include was not well done (except the better songs from the better shows)
I recently watched the 1971 and 1984 shows with the tributes to the past and to the composers, THAT is what they need to bring to the show soon. It's the thing the Oscars do, and sometimes succeed at doing, sometimes fail, but at least they understand their own history.
Evening Adults. Arrived in CR. I have a feeling this may be a bitchy YWIW week - I either need to be medicated or hypnotized in order to get my "Go Team" face on. Too much travel does not do YWIW good.
Hi all figured I would check in. I must say I really miss watching the Tony Awards with Mominator. She was a HUGE Carol King fan and I know she would have been in line to see Beautiful.
The towel waving reminded me of a Per?nist rally. I kept chanting "Evita!" whenever they'd pan to the crowds. - SM2
Morning peeps! sp78, I agree. They need to bring back ways of the past for these Tonys. I don't get them concerning the upcoming season especially when the Tonys always run over their time slot. To leave out for the home viewers "In Memoriam" was a disgrace.
bgg, it's good to see you on here. We all miss Mom. She's always a part of BWW and the adult thread.

Back to reality today. The clouds and fog aren't helping. I hate getting slammed with all these voice mail and email messages. ACK! I want to be back in NYC.
Where, apparently, my car keys are enjoying a holiday. 'Nuff said.
Oh, dear cousin, I can't even comment. No, really, I can't. It just took five tries to get this to post.
Is it 3:30 yet? I so need this mini vacation. Apparently, it's going to rain in Pittsburgh the rest of the week and I don't even care as long as cocktails are involved.
