I just learned that many stores are doing "layaway" this year for the holiday season. Where they allow you to make multiple payments for one purchase.
"Layaway" has been around longer than I have, Gracie!
Hey strangers - glad to see so many BWW'ers around here this evening. Life has been crazy here. Got my son married off in Philadelphia a few weeks ago but now we have to have a party here in Michigan on Nov 1. I am a "little" stressed. I miss my BWW life.
It was around when my Grandmother was a girl. It is a sensible system, especially if you are on a limited, but regular income.
BADDY!!!!! I have been thinking of you so much! I wish I'd known you were in Philly. We would have driven up to see you!
Congrats on your son's marriage!!!
BIG HUGS!!!!
Hi Baddy!
Yes, I understand layaway has been around forever. But from my understanding, wasn't it also a part of the cause of the Great Depression?
Baddy!!! A wedding! How romantic!
Oh yay. A wedding? I just love weddings.
Hey, addict! Congrats!
Boobs and me, brother and sister? Nope, don't remember that one.

You don't remember, Baddy? It was at that Italian Restaurant after SOUTH PACIFIC.
My daughter and I are sharing a piece of pumpkin pie with gobs of whipped cream. Mmmmm.
Hey Miss P - been thinking about you guys too. The Philly trip was very quick. We left here Thursday and spent the night in Pittsburgh and then drove the rest of the way Friday. The wedding was Saturday and then we left for home at 6:30 in the am on Sunday. I was wishing that I had told you guys to come. It turned out to be a very nice day. The bad news was that Dawn's father died two weeks before the wedding. It was sad but everyone agreed that her father would not have wanted to be at the wedding in the diminished capacity that he was so it worked out for the best.
We would have come, too! Hiss! Boo!
Sorry about Dawn's dad. I'm sure it's all quite overwhelming for her, but I know she has a wonderful new, extended family who love and support her.
I really miss you!
Hello.
I'm gonna throw this laptop out the window.
Hey Deet! *MWAH*
Hugs and kisses, Deet.
Hey, Shamey, Miss P!
My cell phone will be right behind your laptop, Shamey!
DEET!
Shamey, don't do that! It's the connection, not the laptop! Right? Call whoever tomorrow and bitch your head off at them.

Hello everyone - so glad to see so many people still around here this evening. Wish I could make a quick trip to NYC but not going to happen for awhile. My other son and his wife are actually leaving tomorrow for a trip to NY. They are seeing Wicked because the last time they were in NY and supposed to see it was during the strike. I wish I could pack myself in their suitcase.
Miss P - why don't you make a quick trip to Michigan for the November 1st party. It will be a fun time at the ol homestead.
I'm just praying for decent weather.
Girly, I'm starting to think it's a combination of the two. And this laptop is ancient as far as computers are concerned.
Hello Addict and Hep! Hep, I just missed you yesterday afternoon. It's the story of our bww lives.
GIRLY!
Hep! Addict!
What a lovely group in here this evening!
Aww, Baddy. I would if I could, but that's WAY too soon to make plans! I think we're holding off on Michigan until the summer.
Deet, is your cellphone tripping on you? I sent you a TM a couple of hours ago. I guess that's why I didn't hear back.
I've hated that damned Blackberry almost from the minute I got it. Yeah, Miss P, it's acting up again. And this is the second one - they had to replace the first one.
"Can't live with 'em. Can't live without 'em!"
I do like "Brickbreaker" though.
Hey Adults! I just spent much more time in the freezing library than I care to ever spend again.
Hey, Heppy. . . and Lucy.
