Oh, I know what you're talking about, believe me.
"Everything in its place and a place for everything!"
That's peace.
It's peace AND it's also the only way to be able to keep up such a busy schedule. If I take a bit more time putting things away in the beginning I save so much time in the end... I simply don't have time to be disorganized!
I am one of those people who can't go to bed with dishes unwashed or pillows unfluffed on the couch... everything has to be put away. And then I sleep like a baby.

ME, TOO!!!
All the love, Addy
One week, everyone!
Have fun DG!
I wish I was more organized. Organization is good... I just can't keep it up. Once a week I organize, and a couple of days later it's a mess already. *sigh*
I think I missed that gene completely.
I wish a fine weekend to all our beautifully organised adults.
Well, having things a little messy doesn't mean you're not organized... it just means you don't keep up with it.
DG - I'm starting the countdown!
I don't keep up with it is an understatement.
I'm trying... especially because in my new place there's no where to hide! Everything is exposed.
As much as my son likes to "arrange things in rows," he is not so orderly about the stuff that isn't his, believe me.
I'm the same as you guys (DD, you're in training, I understand)...dishes in the sink, dingy countertops, yadda, yadda, yadda...cannot have that AND get a good night's sleep.
Someone needs to start a thread about ANAL RETENTIVENESS!
I used to get really aggravated at gay boys who chased straight boys...I thought, "how stupid, what a way to get bashed, how defeatest"..
now.. what's happenning..
That's all I'm looking after and nabbing .. "straight" and bi dudes.. what's THAT all about?
Actually, Miss P (and all you organized people) - some believe that organization at home DOES make for a better state of mind overall. They say that if anything, making your bed in the morning will give your day more order and balance.
Well, I pretty much missed everybody today. Sounds like people have great plans for the weekend. I'm working some but relaxing some and sending my husband off to China. This time next week I will be at a Broadway show. As far as organization goes, I like to be organized but I'm not obsessive about it. I can also be a procratinator so I put off getting organized.
Back from dinner with a friend who had to let her dog go yesterday after a roller coaster 2 weeks of realizing something was wrong, trying to find out what it was, with it all progressing at lightening speed. She was in a much better state than I was expecting, considering this was her baby. Everyone that knows her, has dreaded the day this might come to pass, not knowing how she'd handle it. I couldn't even talk to her last night, though her sister told me she was pretty composed at that point and doing o.k. I knew I was going to lose it the second she got on the phone. Such a coward I am. I'll miss the little furball.

brdwygirl - I know exactly how she feels - two years ago now my dog which was like a baby to me got severely sick almost overnight and ended up dying in less than a week. He was only 5 years old and I still miss him. I have another dog and I love her but for some reason it's just not the same.
Aw, sorry, addict. I haven't had a pet since we had to let our dog go, about 20 years ago. I always say it's because I'm gone so much during the day, and it's not fair to the animal, but sometimes I wonder if that's just part of it. In her case, her little Maltese was a couple months shy of being 12 years old, but acted like she was no more than 5 until all this started.

Would you believe that my dog was a Maltese also! They are the cutest dogs ever. They are sooo loveable. Now I have a schnauzer(spelling?) and she's cute but I loves my Cody.
LOL! Little 6 pound fluff balls that think they're as big and ferocious as a German Shepard or something!

They are just so affectionate. It took me awhile to even want another dog. Even then it was my family who initiated getting the new dog. I still would like to get another Maltese. I understand why you haven't wanted to get another dog even after 20 years. It's hard to get so attached to an animal and then have to deal with the loss when their gone.
*sniff* I don't know what's going to happen the day Walter Bondi is no longer with us. I know I'll be a wreck.
Ok... enough of that. Just the thought tears me up.
Wishing the adults a lovely weekend.
YUM!
Hm... *ponders what to request when undi visits the NW*
That cakes sounds like something one would only find at LeNotre in Paris (the BEST cake I ever ate came from this bakery). You never told me how multi-talented you were, Undi! When are you going to come to MY house to visit?
P.S. Hi, DD!!!!!

Hello, hello.
I just got back from helping with a friend's wedding and I am so beat. My feet are swollen and I can barely stay awake.
I have some shopping to do for the BIG TRIP but I'm putting it off until later...
Time for a nap.

oh... cake... baked goods... *sigh*
Walter Bondi's visit was awesome. We went to the dog park and played and were joined by Fido and his Jack Russell Terrorists. It's a lovely day in Seattle, if a bit on the chilly side.
I'm with beacs... time for a nap before this evening's festivities.
