...I think all the adults are out at shows tonight. Just wanted to stop by to say hi.
Am still on jury duty - got selected to be on a jury today, which kind of stinks because this would have been my last day. I tried to be invisible, but it didn't work. The bummer is that the trial is expected to last into next week, so I have to cancel a bunch of plans which I was really looking forward to. I say the guy is guilty...
Cheers to all. Hope the visitors to NYC have been having a ball. Can't wait to hear all about it.

Posted: 4/5/06 at 9:17pmAnything good? I once got on a 26 day medical malpractice case where I couldn't believe they took me since I decide disability claims. I had plane tickets and the judge wanted me to cancel my vacation but he let me off and an alternate took my place. I found out that 17 days later, they had a mistrial!

Addy, you should've said you thought he was guilty. They would've let you go in a hurry.

We cannot have a fair judicial system without a jury of citizens making findings of facts. Congrats Addy, I know it sucks but the state, the victim and the defendant deserves a fair shake. If it is a civil case, the parties also deserve a fair and impartial jury.
This is ironic. My wife was also called to serve on Monday, but she is not a citizen and cannot serve.
