I think Addy should change her name to "Addy." It fits her so well, don't you think?
Hmm. An exclamation point would be too much?
Yes it does. It gets difficult to call people by their given names when you meet them in person, doesn't it?
DD - I do find it funny that you went to a scorekeeping clinic for softball.
I guess I grew up playing it so I never thought of having to learn it.
The kitties say hello.
Well, we were learning how to keep the score books properly. I am a complete novice.
Well, I guess if went to a dance class and tried to learn anything it would take me years! It is all what you grew up with!
And, as I said on the other thread. Ambien is your friend.
Ambien will help me with softball too?
Only if you are playing catcher and don't have to react to folks trying to slide home.
And no snikers folks - I know how it sounds...
It's funny. When I joined the board, I NEVER thought I would actually MEET anyone from it. So I didn't think, "How will I feel if people call me 'Penny Pennywise'?" I just found the character in Urinetown so amusing.
But now I feel as though it really IS my name! I guess it's just natural for people to give you nicknames. We all seem to have them on this board!
Well, I'm going to meditate on that point and hope it helps me get to sleep.
Good night, everybody.
Think about trying to introduce yourself as "Hi, I am YouWantItWhen???"
Mine's easy-I'm going to have Jane as my middle name pretty soon.
It was funny when I was telling a friend about the board. He works for the council for the blind. I told him my name and that everyone calls me DD. He started laughing... in their lingo DD means developmentaly disabled.
For me, a double D means a back ache.
I tried to explain this place to a friend once, and all she could give me was "you call yourself what?" Perhaps that will be my next screen name.
LOL - you made me laugh, YWiW.
On that note, I need to try to get some sleep tonight.
I'm sure some people think that I have some dire disease.
Night DD. Sweet dreams.
Off for the night myself.
And gettinhelp - I figure that that you are probably just a bit more honest than the rest of us!
Oh, You!
Actually, my name comes from a line in Wonderful Town. It had nothing to do with psychiatric help. Although, Lucy Van Pelt will always dispense advice... for a nickle.
I heard these days it went up to a quarter.
Night.
Night, You.
How do you introduce yourselves when you get together? Do you have little name tags that give your real name and your BWW name? I've often wondered. (I honestly can't remember what we did this past Christmas. Too many bone crushers I suspect.)
You want to see a slightly sick mind at work? I swear this was the image that came to mind when I read "a case of 12 angry Addies":
Good morning, all...
Mamie, that is perfect! What a great picture! I'll think about it all day.
Back to court I go. DG and ckeaton, if you read this... call my cell so we can try to figure out when to meet up again before you leave! This jury service is requiring me to move a bunch of things around on my schedule, but I want to make sure I see you!
...and I want reports of all the shows you've been seeing!
Wishing everyone a happy day. Sending you hugs!
Good Morning all !!! Coffee is on.
The Pajama Game was a lot of fun last night....Hernandos Hideaway was one of the best numbers I've ever seen on a B'Way stage. Oh yea...did I mention that I fell in love with Kelli O'Hara all over again.
It was nice to see 2 special friends last night....I miss them already.
Morning Addy and Boobs and all the other adults who are probably still in bed. Where's Somms with breakfast?
Still in bed?? I wish! Left that cozy spot almost 4 hours ago.

Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
I had to practically throw myself out of bed at 6:15. I can't believe how much trouble I'm having adjusting to the time change.
