Moony - yeah, that's me I guess. Also - the next project is the reading of BBQ and we are doing it at Benaroya Hall downtown. There will be photos.
Can't wait for puppy pictures!
I built my first periaktoi last night, and it was a good thing. Now I know what to do, should be much quicker. We move in today, tech tomorrow.

Morning peeps! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I made Thai shrimp fried rice over the weekend without a recipe! It came out so good.

Yeah.
Separation Anxiety issues notwithstanding, it's not much different than what I was expecting. But it's gonna be a loooonng summer.
And I'm going to have to Swiffer. A lot.
Can the Adults Please Smoke? Max Monday#2735
Posted: 4/30/12 at 7:46amDeet, just keep the swifter out for now. I believe I keep Mr. Clean in business with all his products I use on my floors. Thanks mainly to Frankie who hasn't got the concept to hold it until he's outside. Joop on the other hand gets it. I think. She used to clean up after herself and well I'm hoping that is still not what is happening.

The Swiffer is out and ever at the ready. So is the Nature's Miracle.
I just met with my upstairs neighbor -- he's got a 14 year old daughter I'm hiring to look in on Max while I'm at school this afternoon. Luckily, they haven't heard him barking, so that's one less thing to worry about.
I feel bad leaving him alone, but it must be done and he needs to get used to it.
Right?

Morning, kiddles.
Pizza man? I wonder if he's related to my lasagna man, Deet.
I understand completely about the feeling bad about leaving them alone. I feel horrible when it's NOT my pup!

Posted: 4/30/12 at 8:34amDeet, that is why I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. So they have a play mate. I always feel bad when they're alone. I still haven't learned that we think with human emotions. Animals don't feel like we do, so they learn and are okay with being alone for a period of time. When I lived up North I had a dog walker, so Logan was never really alone for long. When I moved south and he was alone for long periods is when I decided to get Toby, so he'd have a playmate. That's just sill me though...still thinking with Human emotions.

Posted: 4/30/12 at 8:36amI will never learn that.

It's killing me to listen to him cry and whine while I go around the apartment doing what needs to be done, but he'll never learn if I stop every time he barks.
And Boobs, I'm lucky J2 agreed to this one. Suggesting a playmate would get me and Max an invitation to...
...well let's just say it wouldn't be Paris.

there would be visitors at Boob's zoo? lol
Serenity would do the same thing when I got her if I went into another room. And god forbid the other room had a closed door she went into a frenzy! She got over it. Now I'm lucky if she even registers I'm in the same room, lol.

I'm in the dining room, he's in the kitchen and he's quieted down. i'll work in here for another 15 - 20 minutes, then I'll go check on him.
Tough love, indeed!

Posted: 4/30/12 at 9:27amI've learned to ignore my dust bunnies quite well.

Yep, that is why I got Zander. Zorra had been with Stoli her while life, and when he passed, she went even more reclusive (she was the Howard Hughes of cats). Zander was basically thrust upon me by the rescue folks who knew that he would have a loving home, and would be a good companion for Zorra.
They bonded immediately, she has become more outgoing, and they are likes peas in a pod.
As for dust bunnies - I have bought so many small hand vacs that I could open my own business. It doesn't help that Zander is a jumper.
But Deet - puppy puppy puppy puppy.
And 10 More Sleeps!

I haven't gone to check on him yet, but he's been quiet for nearly 45 minutes now. Good sign.
I hope.
Yay, YWiW! I remember trips like that...

It seems to be working. I went to check on him about an hour ago, played with him a little bit, cleaned/straightened up the kitchen, did some writing and then left. He fretted a little but not much, maybe one or two barks lasting all of ten seconds. And there was none of the violent thrashing himself against the gates. That was about half an hour ago, and not a sound from him since.
