Wow - it's harder to get your tongue in those places than you would think!
Deet - so sorry to hear that! What's wrong?
Morning peeps! SO you remember how my Friday began with my co-worker's wife dying. Well that is how my Friday night ended too. We had to put HC's oldest Boxer, Lacey, to sleep. She was 14, so she lived a full and happy life. I was in the room of course with him and his roomie. They were basket cases, so I had to hold it together for them. They both knew it was the right thing to do. I got them to watch "Bridesmaids" on Saturday night and we laughed our a$$es off! The rest of the weekend was nice and mellow.
I'm so sorry, Boobs.
Moony, he's lethargic and has pretty bad diarrhea. We were both up most of the night. So far no vomiting, and I can't tell if he has a fever or not.
Thanks, Deet's.
I'm sure Max will be fine. As pups you never know what they're eating when you're not looking. Boiled chicken and rice always seems to help with the diarrhea. Please keep us updated.
I'm sure he will too, it's just he's never been this lethargic before -- I made an appointment for 10:00 this morning.
I feel like Shirley MacClaine in the opening scene of "Terms of Endearment:" I actually pinched him to make sure he was alive and when he yelped I said "Oh good, that's better."
Morning.
Poor Max.
I got a text from my brother around 9:30 last night, that Ralph was in the hospital, they almost lost him on Wednesday, he had surgery on Friday. He's doing better, but got pneumonia from the surgery.
He doesn't tell me what initially landed Ralph in the hospital, so I texted him back, and he said had a breathing problem, wasn't getting enough oxygen.

Dear God, Girly -please tell me that Ralph is a dog and not a son.
Boobs, he won't eat the rice -- he just eats around it, although we've mixed it into his regular food. I'm going to try adding chicken, and I've been told boiled sweet potatoes work too.
Yes Moony, Ralph is their Boston Terrier. To them, he is their son. Just like their cats were, oh so long ago. It must run in our family. We don't have children, so our pets become our children.

They really do become a part of the family -- and very quickly.
I leave for a weekend and everything goes to hell?????
So sorry for all the losses and sicknesses. Poor Max. It is so hard because they can't tell you what is wrong. I hope all is going well at the vet.
Boobs - please give HC a hug for me, that is so sad. I am expecting any day to get a call from my mom that my 18 y/o Oreo has passed.
Addy - I hope you are feeling better! Sickness sucks.
We were supposed to be in Boston until today, but somehow messages got mixed and we were only booked until yesterday, so I am just enjoying the day at home. Watching everything swim by.
I will give HC all your condolences. I know he really appreicates all the love and support.
Our pets truly do become part of our familes. Sometimes we even want to kill them like some of our family members. Mr. Teaser is trying my patients lately. He is determined to kill my Joan Crawford Christmas cactus. I found him on top of her the other day and some of her leaves on the floor. I am hoping to revive them in new soil. He actually was staring up at her yesterday and so he was banished back into his room. He will stay there until he knows how to behave like his sister, Tonky.
Deet, I also heard canned pumpkin (without sugar) is good for the puppies digestive system. I would check with your vet though.
Yeah, behave like his sister when she isn't knocking things to the floor and scaring the bejesus outta me!!

Sorry for HC's loss. The only thing I really miss right now (other than my bed) are my beasts. They truly do become part of the family.
Hi.
Happy Monday.
Hope Max is feeling better.
So sorry to hear about HC's loss.
YWIW, the trip sounds like it's been amazing.
Tink, enjoy the day at home. Great day for it!
Moony, Somms, Girly - and anyone I've missed: Hope your week is off to a great start!
Nothin' new from my neck of the woods.
So sorry about HC's pup. So very sad. Here we are, almost five years later, and I still tear up whenever I think of Walter for more than a few minutes.
In other news, tonight's the reading of BBQ! And yes, there will be pictures.
G'morning.
Max is getting back to his old perky, pesky self -- we'll get the test results on his stool later today but judging from how much better he is already I think they'll come back fine. He probably just had TOO much fun on Sunday and was upset when his old, boring parents came home.
I am so glad Max is feeling good today!

Serious right shoulder issues that kept me up all night, thinking of making an appt at the clinic down the street.

Result of continual heavy lifting in Boston area pubs, Tink?

Get it checked out, Tink. Trust me.

Good Morning peeps! I hope all are well on this lovely wet day. I'm happy about the rain being I planted phlox on Sunday in the front yard and now I don't have to remember to water them
