i didn't realize Gifted Man and Unforgettable were officially cancelled, I just thought they were still on the decision table. I never got to watch Gifted Man but wished it well. Unforgettable, not so much. I never watched it but that was because I had heard the tales from my friend about what a horror Poppy was to work with.
Nothing crazy here. Gym tonight and tomorrow morning. My friend's bday is tomm so I will have to subject myself to St pattys day bar shenanigans for that, but I think the place we are going will be low key. Sunday will be more sorting of the boxes at mom's. fun.

I'm DYING on Wednesday nights without my Revenge fix. I refuse to watch the replacement show they put on - I don't want them to get the imoression that this was a good idea (not that I'm a Nielson or Arbitron ratings home).

Moony - if I sent my kids to the two schools - my tab would be 56K. FU**ing crazy! Arghhhhhhhh
TGIF! Fun parties on Saturday!
Happy Friday peeps! I got sucked in last night to the new Keifer Sutherland series "TOUCH" I loved it! Damn! Damn! Damn!
I'm ok with my shows being gone for a few weeks because I can finally catch up on some of the other stuff clogging up my TiVo. Although, I've been bad (or good depending on how you look at it) and have been reading most nights after the gym this week, or like last night, only caught up on the last few days of The Daily Show.
I've been filling in with Project Runway Allstars. But it ends next week. I don't need any other show addictions.
Tink, it's not that they were officially 'cancelled' - because both shows aired their full episode orders this year. It's just that CBS decided not to renew them for next year. Which, in effect, makes them 'cancelled', but, technically they are not being picked up for year 2. Either way, they're off the air.
Boobs, I'll be interested to hear what you think of 'Touch' as it unfolds. The pilot was fascinating. The early numbers on it were strong. At the FOX development meeting earlier this week the were really happy with it.
Next week I have ABC and NBC Development meetings. The big trend appears to be stepped-up development of comedies. I'll email some info to you guys that you might want to read, from the early development conversations.
Somms, I passed on that this time around. I love PR, but wasn't able to get into the All-Stars shows. I tuned in for the Broadway episode, though.
I'm still addicted to 'Survivor'. After all these years. I wish I knew how to quit it!
Wednesday nights without 'Revenge' have been so empty. And Sundays without 'Downton' *sigh*
In May I'll set up a Pilot Viewing Party for you guys. You can be my focus group
I still need to watch Touch and Awake. I had them saved on my tivo but had to clear them for other things. I, also, wanted to see Missing but already have two things recording during that spot on Thurs. Gonna be an on demand thing.
Addy - that makes sense. And yes, please send over, I enjoy all this crap way too much. My friend was reading CBS and CW pilot scripts the other night and sending me some tidbits. I told her I'd gladly read them for her, lol, but that would be against protocol. boo.
Will do. (Monday - when I'm back in the office...)
Ok, off to the DMV. Friday standing on line. Such joy.

Well, it's certainly not must-see TV, but I posted a video on my FB page that I helped put together. It was designed to welcome students who will be our Freshmen next year (it's not the Winter sports one that is also on my page - I had nothing to do with that!).
What I liked about our finished product was that - for me - it's a visual of why I love this place and why I'm passionate about my girls.
It's also nice to have on hand as a reminder when they pluck my last nerve and I'm ready to ship them (and their parents) off to Siberia.

Jeez, I've only just finished watching the first season of "Downton Abbey." I'm waaaaaaaayyyyy behind.
BTW: Attention, all (now former) FGs: We are now formally, completely and officially absolved of all FG duties. "After Eight" has taken on those duties, as his post (and mine) will prove in the "Soup Thread."

I noticed that the other day. They were made for each other!
I still have to figure out how to watch Downton. I don't have Netflix, and I couldn't find it on the PBS site. I need to watch from the first season.

or i can lend you my netflix log in info and you can watch them on your computer under my account.
I keep forgetting that some theaters have the cheap ticket programs for younger peoples. duh. Just got a $20 ticket for Anything Goes for the day I'm in town for Leap of Faith! I haven't done a two show day in years, I'm beyond excited!!!
I need to figure out what show to take the family to this year. The older one was down the other night and he asked that this year I take them to see something less boring...HUH! Follies, boring!!! He suggested perhaps we see Wicked again. It took all the strength in me not to throw my bowl of pasta at him. If I didn't take them to see the last B'way production of JCS I would entertain that one. I refuse to pay full price to see BOM. Any suggestions?
First thing that comes to mind for young guys is Rock of Ages. SpiderMan? How to Succeed? Have girly take them to Memphis?
I was going to suggest SPIDER-MAN as well -- not a great show but the boys might be entertained.
Speaking of FOLLIES, BritTwit went on a rampage about it before rehearsal began last week -- he hated it. I just got up during the middle of his tirade and went to the bathroom. I waited in there until he finished, and then flushed.
Newsies is my suggestion.

BritTwit was just bitter that he wasn't cast as Carlotta. Again.
He's never reconciled himself that he's more a "Sandra Crane" type.
Looking at the list of opened and upcoming, I'd say Spiderman or Newsies would be it.
How many eps of Downton are there between the two seasons?
