I give up on it. The women are all horrible, horrible mothers.
Not one redeeming quality in any of them this season so far.
I wanted Lynette to get run over by the car for letting her little girl take the blame for her "accident" with the bass. And Bree giving her grandson the hot dogs when not only did she KNOW the kid was vegetarian, but that it would probably make him sick.
Yea, I think I am officially over this show.
What happened to the gay next door neighbors?
They appeared for like a SECOND on the first or second episode.
Yeah ljay- I saw the 2 guys for a second but what happened to their story line- or A storyline? I really hate Edie's husband! And what happened to Dana Delaney's character?
I'm glad the gay characters aren't being featured. They were never very interesting. Only Andrew, but that part of him seems to be non-existent now. I'm still not liking the jump, but I'm not going to give up so easily. There are some new things I like.
The one thing that bugs me is the kids. Bree's daughter still looks 16, Andrew looks maybe 21 and in a suit and Lynette's boys are not so good looking, but yet they dress well, although still looking like they are going clubbing and not to school.
Where is Andrea?
You mean Julie? I'm assuming at college...
Sueleen - I couldn't believe Lynette's storyline last night - usually I take the things they do with a grain of salt but frankly Lynette crossed a line into evil there. Destroying the bass was bad enough, I could have laughed that off as just another Lynette thing, but blaming the daughter -- that went too far. She was usually my favorite character, and for the first time I really disliked her here. It's making me root for Tom that much more - that he realizes just how manipulative and EVIL his wife can be.

Stephen Weber is joining for an episode or two as Julie's college prof. lover, I read.
And the mystery regarding Edie's husband, according to some place I read: his last name is "Williams." Either sloppy writing or he's a former character's brother...
Who's brother would that be?
The character Roger Bart played was George Williams (the crazed pharmacist who killed Bree's husband)
Oh -- yeah, I'm putting that to lazy writing. And if it's NOT lazy writing and that's what it is, then everything we've seen the last three episodes with him has been misdirection. He would be after Bree if he was George's brother -- have we even see them interact?
Give Katherine Mayfair a storyline. Please. Not Karen McClusky's partner in crime???
I'm loving the Katherine/McClusky partners in crime storyline.
I am also loving how beefed up the role of McClusky is getting.

Since Joosten's Emmy win they could turn the show into Murder She Wrote: Wisteria Lane!(Like CSI:NY, Miami, LV...)
Interesting that Joosten has won TWO Emmys for this role, but as Guest Actress.
So far, it seems she will be considered Supporting after this season.

WOW! Love the storyline if his last name is Williams. Nice plot twist.

I'm wondering if the baseball bat doesn't have significance and could be an indicator that his motivation has something to do with Ida's death.
Ida was the elderly friend, and former ballplayer whose ashes Karen and Lynnet wanted to scatter on the ballfield. Since she died in McCluskey's basement during the tornado could he be targeting Tom or one of the boys?

I was channel surfing last night and the actor who plays Susan's boyfriend was on "Queer as Folk" and at the table he was sitting at was (I think) the actor who plays one of the gay guys on Desperate Housewives. Sorry, I don't know their real names, and this is probably old news.
Boy, has this show gone off the deep end. Five years later and the only ones who have aged are Lynette's boys. And several characters' actions are utterly inconsistent with the characterizations previously drawn out. I can't make any sense of this season at all. Awful.
At first I wasn't thrilled with the jump, but now I'm on board. Porter's having sex with his best fiend's mother. That's good television right there.
This season is really strong...I don't think they've gone off the deep end by any means. Season Two was pretty bad and Season Three was iffy but Four and Five have totally redeemed it. Four was the best season yet and this season has amazing potential. Updated On: 11/10/08 at 09:55 PM

I'm loving the potential connection between George and Edie's husband. The more I think about it, the more I see that their personalities are disturbingly similar- I could totally see them having grown up in the same household...

oh i saw the doctor thing coming a mile a way... it was almost too obvious towards the end
and i'm loving Gaby's kids... they crack me up... especially Juanita.. haha... and i love the relationship she has with them... it's hilarious (albeit a tad mean but not abusive mean)
Wow! I thought tonight's episode was very poignant and sweet! I loved watching all of their lives in the past and I also loved how they brought back so many of the actors from seasons past. Very sweet story with the handyman and how he had touched everyone's lives!
