...so I guess I'm not the only person who's had so much trouble with my Dell laptop.

I'm wide awake and bored. I don't know what to do with myself.

I've had more problems in the last 6 months with my laptop than I have in the 3 previous years. It's not *serious* this time, but my wireless disconnects every 2-3 minutes. I spent 2 hours on a tech support chat Saturday, only to have it stop working within a few hours. The guy called me back to say he wasn't working Sunday, Monday or Tuesday and only between 9-5 central time. Because I have a case already started, I can't just call any other tech support person who will just make me repeat what was already done, I have to contact THIS one. Bleh.

I'm watching Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest. I've watched all 3 movies just within the past week and a half. Johnny Depp is wicked hot.

That sucks skittles. I really hate Dell tech support right now. Comcast is much more helpful with their tech support than Dell is.

BOO tech support.

I'm not tired at all. I have to get up at 9, and I can't snooze forever, either. I have to get right out of bed, because I have a million things to accomplish before I need to leave here at 10:30. Obviously, the reasonable solution is to get up earlier to be sure I have enough time, but given that I probably won't be asleep until four, I cannot possibly get up any earlier. Ugh.

It's really sad to be taking all the stuff down from my dorm room walls. I don't wanna.

wonderfulwizard, don't get me started on Comcast. We've had Comcast since before that was their name (1987) and they've been systematically screwing us over for years. First they kept upping the price (at a rate that was far above the rate of inflation). Then they changed the channel line-up every 6 months. Then they started slowly taking away channels and putting them on their digital cable. First it was like one channel every few months, but then we lost 6 channels (out of 70) in mid-May. Don't get me started on the Orioles vs. Nationals debacle. My dad finally got fed up with being treated like crap and we got FIOS. 700 channels that cost less than the 70 Comcast ones AND the Verizon people were on time to install.

Um, so there's my unintended Verizon commercial. For Those Who Feel The Need to Share All of Their Banal Details Part 5 But tech support/repair people suck all over.

The grass pollen has started. It's making my vision blurry and the post-nasal drip makes me not want to eat. I've been existing on menthol gum and cough drops for 2 days, and developed a sniffing habit with vaporub.

Eh. I had a good expirience with them. However, yes, you are right, all tech/service people suck.

I just found out I have to pay $500 to get my computer fixed. Damn.

I think Fios is really cool, but after setting up installation dates door-to-door for 10 hours every day, the thought of it makes me nauseaus. I keep telling myself I'm really not one of those creepy salespeople the come to your door.

Heh, my dad just called to set it up. And don't feel bad; I'm sure the people see a salesperson and think "At least it's not a Mormon."

My sister is the nosiest person. It is this late and she is blasting music and talking on the phone. I am upstairs and I can hear her perfectly all the way downstairs and, my house is pretty big. I had to go downstairs and tell her to plug in some damn headphones.

One of the prizes on The Price is Right is a CD/DVD shredder. Why in god's name would you need to shred CDs? Breaking them in half seems safe enough.

Continuing with the "I hate tech support" sentiment, I called the number the tech guy gave me, which he made sound as if it were some direct line, especially since he specifically said that if he's not there to leave a message. I called...and it was just a stupid generalized tech support line. I spent 5 minutes screaming at their sh*tty voice-recognition software, then gave up and emailed the guy, telling HIM to call ME. Yeah, if he doesn't get back to me by 5pm, I'm going to the tech support chat AGAIN and ripping whatever poor guy I end up with a new one.

To top that off, my bed is broken.

I think they replaced the pseudophedrine in Sudafed with caffeine.

In random order:

I've applied for a job as a press release writer, and I'm absolutely waiting on pins and needles to hear whether or not I got the job. I VERY MUCH want this job, but more than anything, I'm sick of waiting to hear.

It made me a little bit sad to scroll through the names in the CotD thread, and notice that I was not on the list of people who have been honored as CotD (which I knew), but also that I was not on the list of people who had NOT been CotD! Boo... I must be invisible. (Or, more logically, I must not post frequently enough.)

I already went for a swim once today, but I think I want to go again tonight. Is that too much chlorine?

Prom is tomorrow night, and my friends are fighting. Fun.
My ex wants me back. It's been 7 months since he broke up with me and he wants me back! Haha... loser.

CostumeMistress, just PM shameless and let her know. She'll add you to the list.

Good luck with that, withoutlove.

I would just like to sympathize with those of you having issues with Dell and Comcast. I know several people who have had Dell issues, and my best friend is always having issues with Comcast... phone, TV, and internet. Comcast screwed me over and took away Bravo.

The person who was my best friend for the past year just said he doesn't want to be in my life anymore. I feel like my heart has just been ripped out and stomped on. I am completely lost.

Will and Grace is particularly depressing right now.

My tech support "estimated wait time" was 4 minutes 53 seconds. That was 13 minutes ago. And I have to go to the bathroom.
