7am-
My mom took my dog out and went to put the mail in the mailbox-- like always.
She slipped on ice, broke her arm and dislocated her elbow and passed out. Long story short, she is in the hospital getting xrays and seeing if she needs surgery.
Nothing is easy 'round here.

I hope your mom is ok SweetQ!
When I was taking my earings out last night the back of it went under my nail somehow, and now it burns.
I also hope everything is ok w/ your mom SweetQ.
After a 3 hour long drama rehearsal, I am much too tired to start my homework.
I was in the auditorium working on stuff for our show for an hour and a half this morning and then from 12:30 until 5:30. My body hurts. It's all good though.

Thanks To The Stage and Picturetaker, she is home and feeling better.
They had to sedate her to relocate her elbow. Just the sound of it is gross. And now she has a cast from her hand all the way up to her shoulder.
She has an orthopedist appointment tomorrow. Thankfully my dad isn't working and he can take her.
We just had a fire drill. The alarm scared the sh*t out of me because it's insanely loud, and in my frightened state, the first thing I thought to grab was my computer. Not knowing that it was just a drill, clearly that was the thing I needed most. I mean, I couldn't find my shoes, but I had my laptop!
That says a lot, no? (Oh, and I did find my shoes.)
I made my Very Hungry Caterpillar felt board today. It turned out so good, I'm really pleased with it, especially since I'm not known for my artistic skills. Tomorrow I plan to make all the food.
I am insanely sick.
I got tickets to a regional production of Tick, Tick...Boom! for March 11. That makes me extremely happy.
Everyone I know, and I mean everyone has seen Spring Awakening but me. And guess who told all of them about it and let them borrow the CD. Me. There should be some rule that says something like "If you told somebody about a show or movie or CD or something, they shouldn't see or listen to it before you get to."
I hate the book "East of Eden" 600 pages of repetitive and predictable John Steinbeck writing. Okay. We get it. Your family is like Cain and Abel. Enough is enough. garrrrrgg.

Hope your mom feels better SweetqQ!
My friends say that today i have a case of jewish grandmother-itis.
'cuz I keep calling people Bubeleh and Meshugeneh. and I had a huge craving for Latkes
*collapses*
I feel like I've been rushing all day -- when in reality, I was only rushing most of the day. Anyway, I'm home now, and my schedule can go back to normal.
I'm on wikipedia trying to figure out specifically why mules are totally sterile so I can explain it to the bio student I'm tutoring tomorrow.
Because they're a cross between a donky and a horse which isn't natural breeding. I don't think that answered your questions.
After reading this I have a huge craving for latkes.
Ooh I just had latkes.
I got a 17/20 on a paper that I wrote, and I'm supposed to go back through and fix stuff in it for tomorrow, but I don't think I have the energy to go back through it.
A kid in choir two seats over from me started spontaneously throwing up today. Anyone got any charms to ward off viruses?

For those who asked...
My mom is feeling better. She has a cast on from her hand to her shoulder. She is going to the orthopedist today.
My head is pounding-but only on the right side. Ouch.

Ouch, SweetQ. Glad your mom's okay! Did she hit her head and pass out, or was she just in too much pain? That's scary! I'm so clumsy... winter terrifies me sometimes.
In other news, tomorrow it will be EXACTLY four weeks until opening night. Nerves, nerves, nerves, nerves, nerves.

No, Allie, thankfully she didn't hit her head. It was just too much pain.
Are you off book? What's your favorite song?
How many dancers are in Steam Heat?

I am almost off-book. Mostly off-book. There are still a couple of parts that trip me up, but I think I'll be good by our next dialogue rehearsal on Monday.
My favourite song is definitely There Once Was a Man. Because it's fast and fun, and I get to sing it. Blocking comes on Sunday, yay!
As for Steam Heat, I haven't really seen much of it since I'm not in it. I know we have all of the guys singing at one point. And I know we're bringing in two couples who are professional dancers, since the rest of us are... not so much with the dancing. They'll be there for Hernando's Hideaway, too. But I'm not sure how the whole number is going to look!
I hope your rehearsals are going well!

We just finished choreographing Hernando's Hideaway and on Thursday we finish blocking Act 1. Where has time gone?!
I think for steam heat we are going to have 3 side dancers helping Gladys.
It seems like it's going to be "All That Jazz" kind of dance number.
It's funny because Gladys and Sid dance a lot together and she is like a foot shorter than him and like 15 years older.
