Both parties could not agree once again on budget. The Republicans in the House passed a clean CR which is the same one Chuck Schumer voted for in March of 2025. The clean CR means it continues the same spending which was agreed upon during the Biden administration. Schumer on the House floor in March 2025 said he could not shutdown the government and that is why he voted for the CR in March. Please inform everyone why Schumer did not want to open the government and continue to negotiate health care issues.

Of course you can’t engage Sutton because your mindless and superficial buzz words run out of steam. Do you think the election of Trump has no impact on the rest of the world? Do you think the Greenland threat is more likely to affect you or me? You sound like a dumb MAGA supporter who believes that it’s all about ‘merica first. Did you vote for Trump? It sounds like it. 

Even if you didn’t, it’s your fault that he is in power and if you continue with this madness you should look forward to years of republican reign.

I argued here both outcomes were likely to happen and I was right both times (despite a lot of naive pushback from posters here who didn't want to hear it) because unlike you I actually pay close attention to what is happening on ALL sides. All you know is your one sided biased ideological views that are getting so extreme and so far removed from reality you literally do not understand what is happening in your own country. You likely have absolutely no idea what can influence swing voters because you don't engage in the actual arguments, all you do is partake in this mindless shallow partisanship that is so extreme it has and is turning people away from the very movement you are trying to support.

Do you actually watch or read the debates and intellectual arguments in good faith? Are you aware of where the ideological weaknesses are in your own movement? If you aren't then that's just stupid because you have no idea how to win. LOL.

You can’t see that like MAGA you are equally in your own echo chamber that is self destructive. You are so far down your extreme ideology that you cannot even step back and discuss self-criticism or self-reflection, even if it is needed for you to achieve the actual goals you want to achieve. Do you just want to rant and call everyone racists and fascists (that's the new buzz word isn't it? call anyone who disagrees with you a fascist because the racist word has also run out of steam) or do you actually want to win elections?

How many elections do you need to lose to MAGA to realise that you have to change your approach? It's clearly not 1 or 2. If you lose a 3rd will you concede that maybe you should try something else?

You really have no room to say I told you so about anything after praising Tulsi Gabbard and saying having her as Director of National Intelligence would be a plus and would mean less war. The US has kidnapped Maduro and is talking about invading Greenland.

This just in:  Two of Alex Pretti's (misremembered the first time) murderers have been identified as Jesus Ochoa and Raymundo Guitierez, who have served 8 and 12 years in ICE, respectively.  


But do go on telling me how they just need more training and body cameras.

Ochoa and Guitierez are CBP agents, not ICE who had no business being there in the first place. Both are identified as having fired on Alex Pretti, not Renee Good.

I was going to take you up on your invitation to "do go on telling me how they just need more training and body cameras", but:

1) I promised Kdogg that, out of mutual respect for him, I would not and

2) why would I waste my words on someone who cares so little about their own?

You're right that I suggested Tulsi Gabbard was a good thing - and recently Trump has had too many Foreign policy blunders though it's hard to know what her role is or not (e.g. one of the issues is complaints of sidelining - for example there was a rumour that she wasn't even involved in the Venezuela operation although that has since been denied). 

Overall, it didn't work out exactly as I'd hoped and I was wrong about that. 

Does anyone here ever think they were wrong and can learn anything?

Trump grows more desperate every day. He recognizes and has verbally acknowledged his fate.

As I've mentioned before, his level of desperation can be measured via the level of his outrageous, recalcitrant, and obstinate behaviors. Any and everyone who has ever known, or worked with children who demonstrate behavioral issues can easily recognize the pattern.

I share the level of concern that both you and binau express, but I choose to take comfort (hope) in the reactions of others who also not only believe their own eyes, but demonstrate a change in their previous loyalties to, and support of Trump.

"Right-Wing" organizations like the NRA, constituents like MTG (who I feel I can give an ounce of credit for setting an example, and opening a door for other Republicans to follow suit), voters who voice their regrets by saying, "this is not what I voted for", etc.

It is becoming more "popular" (even amongst right-wingers) to voice dissent re: Trump's decisions, policies and behaviors.

Although I don't believe (and would never even suggest) that anyone should "back down", or ease away from speaking out against Trump, I also know that people are watching and recording. 

I believe that if there is not an immediate response from those whom we expect a response, it is likely because they are holding their cards to their chest until Trump has (and will) materialize the solid rope he will be hung from.

People are watching, collecting, and taking note. This is still America.

The only thing that will redeem America at this point is a comprehensive repudiation of Trump and his MAGA cohort at the mid-term elections. This would include, at a bare minimum, a record swing in the House and the election of a Senate supermajority to remove Trump from office after his inevitable third impeachment.
