I think I "fell asleep" (known as "passed out" in some circles) by then.
I think I'd like him to bottom tonight, though.

Fantasia--Summertime, Latoya--Somewhere, George--Against All Odds, Jennifer--I Who Have Nothing, Jasmine--When I Fall in Love, JPL--Jailhouse Rock, Diana--My Heart Will Go On and John--As Time Goes By. I predicted those last two song choices. Today's MSN poll has John Stevens as the pick to go and as the least likely to win the competition. But also placing low, and I think more likely to get the boot tonight, is Diana.

If Big Red bottoms tonight, will he cry?

what was with that shampoo commercial thing??? they were all in towels together coming out of the shower as a group? and two girls in the bathtub together? and seeing Red without a shirt kinda made me feel sick. I did not think he could do anything to make me feel more uncomfortable than when he sings, but then he went and took his shirt off.
I am loving whoever started talking about him "bottoming tonight". So funny And Princess, are you still thinking that George is straight?.

OMG!! both Jo(h)ns are FINALLY in the bottom 3, and the wrong one gets kicked off!!! I am so increadibly mad, because now John Stevens fans will vote even harder next week! Ugh!! At least JPL was cute to look at...Stevens needs to GO already!!!

Princesss, I agree with you, baby. It is the correct analysis.
The wrong (cuter) John is gone. But look at it this way: Big Red was a deserving bottom and will probably bottom again next week. He's a big ol' bottom. He even looked like it hurt him so bad, he was going to cry.
Diana DeGarmo was brought down for disgrace, too, Benzy.

Anyone else think Big Red looks like a young, anorexic Bill Clinton? I can't get past that.
Oh, the difference between the bottom 3 and the top 3 every week is so staggeringly big, the whole enterprise is a lot less fun. I was just so relieved to have Tarantino gone, I didn't care what happened tonight.
But wouldn't Jennifer, Latoya, and Fantasia be dyno-mite in DREAMGIRLS? Fantasia as Lorrell, LaToya as Deena, and Jen as Effie?

nah, I do love Jen, and im glad she was safe!! Does anyone else realize that theres only one white guy and one white girl left? (and one hawaiian) pretty soon, it'll be African-American Idol! WOOT!!!!

Yes, Princess, I did realize that. That's cool though- they're all so talented. La Toya, Jennifer, and Fantasia would be incredible in DREAMGIRLS.
I'm so happy JPL is gone. I did not like him at all. I think the problem with him (besides that he has a crappy voice) is that he tried to hard (the whole dancing around the stage), and it got annoying after awhile. I really hope Big Red gets voted off next week.
Does anyone know next week's theme?

Can't wait to hear big red sing "Oh Manuel", um I mean, "Oh Mandy". Haha, thinking about him trying to belt is making me laugh. He'll probably try "At the Copa" and sashay around the stage~

Big Red is going to sing "Time in New England" and mess up all the key changes. He'll be the biggest bottom since Joey Stefano and get thrown off the show.
George Huff'n'stuff is going to sing "Looks Like We Made It" and then come out of the closet (with Miss Manilow).
Diana DeGarmo is going to sing "Copacabana" with a bowl of fruit on her head.
Fantasia, Jennifer and LaToya together will read a haiku and get the most votes anyway.
And, JPL's big fat father is going to shoot Randy Jackson.

I digress. This board was overdue for a Joey Stefano allusion, so thank you, Zola. Your post made me nostalgic. (Some of us d'un age certain recall seeing the late Mr. Stefano do what Gypsy Rose Lee made a name for herself accomplishing, right in the heart of Times Square).

Who is voting for Big Red Jon??? He should have been the first to go. Please....he shouldn't have even been in the top 12....I would have loved to have Scooter Girl there myself.....how strange was she? but I liked her. There's not much to like about Jon Stevens.

I was at the taping last Tuesaday ( aired on Wednesday because of the big idiots press conference). All the men sounded terrible live. Reds is the worst. Fantasia came off the best. Still they all suck compared to the two ther seasons.

I'm glad you appreciated the Joey Stefano reference. I always strive to improve the integrity and dignity of this board. So many of us forgot whence we came. I just wanted to give something back.
I'm reviewing much of the work of Tom Chase currently and will soon share something from his body of work. If Idol is boring this week, of course I'm going to get to this sooner.

Meanwhile somewhere this week, at the Up With People auditions:
"John Peter Lewis, you gave a fine audition, but I think you are a little too 'white' for us....have you considered going out for the Brady Bunch on Tour, I hear they're looking for a Peter."
I hated him. So glad he's gone.

Predictions please! I have a feeling of dread that Manilow might be right up Big Red's, ummm, alley. It will SUCK beyind belief (and not in a good way) if he's still standing after tomorrow.
Match the song to the singer:
Mandy
Time in New England
Copacabana
Somewhere Down the Road
I Made it Through the Rain
Can't Smile Without You
I Write the Songs
Diana DeGarmo
Big Red
George
Fantasia
LaToya
Jennifer
Jamine Trias
The winner gets a special prize. Good luck.
