If George is still standing after tonight, I'm gonna vomit. I hate watching his stupid toothy grin. His "Wonderful World" last night showed he has no understanding of what he was singing.

George was so off-pitch in his sing off it was painful and Jasmine is sweet but hit about three correct notes the whole hoarse time.

But I am so glad it was him! Buh-bye.

Jasmine's staying power is odd indeed -- is it because Hawaii votes as a block? She makes zero impression, despite a pleasant but unexciting voice. She also looks tacky every week, in her dayglo halters and bejeweled jeans. She should look at the simple elegance of LaToya. When she began she reminded me of Yvonne Elliman -- remember her? ("I Don't Know How To Love HIm," and the Sat. Nite Fever ballads.) But Ms. Elliman had some soul under her pop, and Jasmine -- with her by rote phrasing and lack of emotional investment -- does exemplify that cruise ship entertainer comparison that Simon overemploys. I think she stands to become a beloved draw at the Honolulu Hilton, doing a medly of her IDOL performances. Even the eccentric red Smith lad will have longer shelf life than she. Bland and sweet only takes you so far.

I am not so sure about these final two. I would not be surprised if one is sent packing early, and that the newly pudgy Diana weasels her way into the top 2.

Next week is disco week on Idol. I actually would have loved to see George huff his way through Ring My Bell.

Simon said in an interview that he thinks the final two will be La Toya and Diana but wants it to be La Toya and Fantasia..

Oh I will. We think we are doing Fantazia signs just because we have come up with some good ideas
