Did someone say Phantom2 again?

I'm a big boy. I can stay up all night.

Point well taken, Jane. You're right; Gloria doesn't rep all Latin music. They would've been better off opening the night up to the genre, not just the one singer-composer. Though we might've ended up with poor JS singing "She Bang," and Geore doing "Vita Loca."

The irony is that next week is BIG BAND week and this would have been Big Red's night to shine and croon (off-key).

By the way, I said Phantom2 again.

awww I liked John, He just couldn't sing pop. I can't sing pop either which is one of the reasons I have never tried to get on that show,so I was happy that he made it so far. To bad he missed big band week. Fantasia is going to Butcher some classic song this week. I can't stand her anymore.

It's the night of nights again. Who will be our bottom this evening?

I think it's George Huff's turn.

Who is the celebrity judge?

Is it really Big Band tonight? Yikes, who opted for that? Who's the judge, Harry Connick,Jr.? As much as they fall all over themselves -- Randy in particular -- dissing the "broadway" sound, wouldn't Broadway be more logical thatn big band for pop voices? In the era of RENT, AIDA, WICKED, and HAIRSPRAY, to name but a few, a pop vocal instrument can be a career-maker. It's so silly, because when they did movie night, some of them elected to sing b'way stuff that had been translated to the screen.

Here it is!

1. Latoya (tie)
1. Fantasia (tie)

3. George
4. Diana
5. Jazmin

I thought Latoya was dynamite. However, my personal fav is Fantasia--she has that amazing ability to really act a song. She has more textures. She's the only one who's album I will buy--which will be the first AI album I have bought as I just can't dig Kelly and Clay's despite adoring their voices.

La Toya or Fantasia will go tonight, mark my words. This is a train wreck I can't stop watching. I love how Simon keeps comparing the performances to cruise ship/theme park performers. Maybe if they stopped producing the show in such a cheesy fashion, with all the bells and whistles, it might come off as more than that.
PEACE.

MY BEST TO WORST FROM LAST NIGHT:

1) Fantasia
2) La Toya
3) Diana
4) Jasmine
5) George

I think George or Jasmine will go tonight.. I actually thought Jasmine's The Way You Look Tonight was great!

Fantasia deserves to win. Period. She is brilliant.
