I think the whole Nativity Story aspect just makes this priceless. When was this supposed to come out? I'm assuming this holiday season, since IMDB has it in post-production. It'll certainly be interesting to see how they go about promoting it with the extra baggage, so to speak. Can you imagine the claws coming out from the uber-religious segment of the population?

I'm just glad I don't live in the "real world"! Hooray for hallucinations!
But if she's happy about it, and thinks she can give the baby a good life, then good for her. It is young, but I know of younger, and some of them have turned out to be good mothers...

I really enjoyed Whale Rider, but alas, I think this episode will be the last we hear of her (I hope)

Yeah, the age of consent is 16. And just because it's out of the States doesn't mean that it's not in the "real world."
Although I think she's a bit young, she has been with her boyfriend for 2 or 3 years and it's not like it's some stupid teenage one night stand turns into a nightmare.

My brother-in-law's brother started dating his wife when he was 17 and she 13. They married when they were 21 and 17, respectively. She's 26 now with a 5-year-old, a one-year-old, and another one on the way. She and her husband are both professionals and own their own house.
Just sayin'.

Posted: 10/7/06 at 4:10pmI feel bad for her because this was proably unplanned. My cousin had a friend who was 16 and has a child with her 18 year old- boyfriend. They wanted to have a child together. They had it all worked out with their parents and stuff.

The age of consent in Canada is 14. Although it's 12 if the other person is less than two years older than them, I think.
There's a girl from school who's 16 and just had a baby. I saw her at the mall with her mom and her son the other day, and she looked so much more mature than she had been before. It was quite amazing to see her as a mother when she used to be this immature little girl running around wearing slutty clothes and flirting with older boys.
