Posted: 2/26/06 at 2:00amI spent it working. The St. Louis Mardi Gras is this weekend. It's this huge deal. I went last year, and once was enough for me. While I love getting insanely drunk with my friends in mid afternoon, I'm not so much keen on crowds.

not being katholisch, I am always "surprised" by Ash Wednesday and Mardis Gras... I'd see people with dark schmutz on their forehead and I'd offer to clean it up... and Mardis Gras always snuck up on me... maybe partially because the dates move around.. so, thinking I'm so smart.. I now realize what a dolt I was today... sat in a little tavern and the bartender tossed me some beeds after a witty compliment and I felt so unique, so special :)
