Another valiant effort by Hiller in the loss but Miller has just been that good (But let's not act like this has come out of nowhere. He has always been that good, he just plays in a small media market as a pro.). We play the winner of the Czech-Finland game. SUOMI!
Russia vs. Canada tonight 7:30 EST. Now I know there are some people calling this the 'Gold Medal game' for the winner but I could see both teams suffer a set-back in the following game with all the energy put into this match-up.
Lindsey Vonn crashed and she has reportedly fractured a finger. Her last event is up in the air. The course supposedly had fog issues.
Who are you calling a small media market, missy?
Just kiddin'.......
No skating tonight. I may switch back and forth betw. olympics and AI.
Is the women's hockey final tonight?
The Women's medal games are tomorrow Stock. Gold Medal game at 6:30.

OK, thanks! Is the US playing Canada?
Im taping the Olympics and watching Idol. But if the guys are as lame as the girls I'll just switch over. I want to watch Apolo live.
Canadian women are rocking the Olympics. Canada picked up 4 medals today--all women (gold and silver in bobsled, silver in short track speed skating relay and bronze in 5,000m long track speed skating)--and overall 11.5 of 15 medals have been won by women (the 1/2 being the Virtue/Moir gold in ice dancing). And tomorrow the Canadian women's hockey team will face Team USA in the gold medal game--a sure medal win or lose--and have Joannie Rochette (currently third) competing in figure skating. You go, girls!
Lydia Lassila! A wonderful performance in the women's aerials for Australia.
Men's Hockey Match-Ups:
Finland vs. US
Slovakia vs. Canada
Who had those teams in their final four? I know Finland took silver in Torino but wow.
I haven't been watching AI because of the Olympics...I think I'm going to give it up and take my Auntie Mame's advice and "LIVE".
But back to the Olympics...
I feel so bad for Julia Mancuso and I think she's totally in the right to feel the way she does and express it! She finished 3rd in the running today and would have probably got a medal with the run she was initally doing.
It was also really hard for her to get back up the hill from what I read!
Some thoughts on Peggy Flemming...I agree with you Jane! She does look like Vampira!!!
She's had minor things done to her face (like her eyes) since the 90's, but I guess she did too much or her age finally caught up with her. At some point, all older women with plastic surgury in their 60's, 70's and 80's look funny. Maybe it's the long hair...you hardly see that in an older woman. But she still looks good...but not as good as Dorothy Hamill looks for 52! WOW!!! Beautiful!!!
thanks for seeing that, MTVMann! It's the combination of the straggly hair, the cosmetic surgery, the lipstick which is never on right, and the bug eyes with the black liner and stuff.
Hey, I"m her age, and I have many friends that age and we all look better than Peggy and without face lifts. Casting directors usually place me in 40's range. I just have young genes.
that's me in my av, 65 yrs old.
Funny thing is before this year's Olympics I had never heard of Lindsey Vonn. Now because of the coverage she's gotten this year, I don't really like her, especially after the faux crying when she won the gold medal.
sorry, back to the olympics!
You look great Jane!
BTW, have you guys seen Peggy's hair at the 1968 Olympics? I don't see how she was able to jump with that hair!
I didn't notice her hair when they had that clip, but they also featured Dorothy Hamill, who looks so much like she did then. I always loved the Dorothy Hamill Wedge!
Here's hoping that NO ladies have reason to make this face tonight!
That Tonya moment was a highlight of the '94 Olympics (that and skating to Jurasic Park).
Well I guess I won't miss any of the rest of the Olympics. I slipped on some black ice yesterday evening and tore a ligament! In a cast with crutches....and vicadin. May have to have surgery. Oh joy!
Ouch - sorry to hear that.
Oh that's awful! wishing you a speedy recovery, and a comfortable stay indoors!
