WTF?

I don't see how she could have been any ruder. Rolling your eyes and sighing out loud is actually ruder than saying what you think. It was CHAR who tried to be civil, despite the nastiness directed at her in the past.

Korinna did NOT plan to be equally nasty to the other designers or she wouldn't have shown up at all.

SomeoneinaTree, I haven't read T&L on K's offing, but however Korinna felt about the show's rules, she was still being cruel to a living person sitting across from her. If she doesn't like the twists PR has installed, she should have quit earlier or even before the season began.

I wasn't sure if they kept Char as a final FU to Korinna or to complete Char's "nice girl finishes ahead" arc. Wildcard is probably right that she's still around so they can have a sad, last-minute cut.

I'll rephrase. I thought Korina was incredibly civil when she asked to not participate. The eye rolling and the arm crossing was awful, but I thought her reasoning for wanting to leave was composed and... reasonable.

Yes, but if she hadn't made that dramatic exit, we wouldn't have gotten that backstage peek at the plain, white Frigidaire from 1993. Guess the crew doesn't get the fancy Samsung fridge.

I love Amanda - smart, funny, sensitive - but I didn't love that street-wear dress as much as the judges.

It was that giant panel of heavy fabric in the middle that turned me off. Totally ruined the movement and flow of the garment. Loved everything else about it, though. And I didn't hate her repurposed piece as much as the judges. I could see a girl wearing that clubbing or partying and I'd probably be impressed. It most certainly improved Fade's original design.

That was some bullsh*ttery that got Char to the final. BULLSH*TTERY. Both pieces by Emily were several orders of magnitude greater than Char's. BULLSH*TTERY!!!!

100% agreed. Her design aesthetic is fashion-backward.

And his white outfit was beautiful, but wear that once on a NYC street and you will get stains that can never be removed.

OMG I said the same thing when I watched! On what planet was that "street wear"?!?!

Korina this week I would think just put the nail in her professional career.

Her attitude has always been a common trait among those in the top of the fashion industry. Her fate depends upon whom it's directed. I get the feeling that she's self-aware about being a bitch, but has always been shielded by friends and family who enable her behavior. I think she's in for a rude awakening now.

RE: Sean's "streetwear" look from last week. I kinda don't give a **** about the practicality of it. I thought it was a stunner.

RE: This week. So, this is clearly now a two-way race between Sean and Amanda, right? Which is kind of what I thought it would be all along. Kini, God bless him, could easily win if this was Project Seamstress, but I don't think he's a particularly interesting or inventive designer. And, I completely agree with all of the judge's critiques - that preview collection was so old lady. I still don't understand what Char is still doing in the competition, other than allowing Tim to save face. I love her spirit and I *do* think she has a great eye for color, but I think she has a way to go with taste and sophistication. That being said, I thought her b&w hoodie was really cool.

Is it just me or do the sponsors get more, well, ratchet, as the kids say, with each passing season? Best Western? (BTW, did none of the 57 homosexuals working in the Best Western marketing department think to tell their CMO to get her teeth whitened before making an appearance on HD TV?) I loved the way the contestants "spontaneously" commented on how "cute" their cramped little Best Western rooms in Rome were. Ha. I can't wait for next season in which Tim sends the contestants to the Del Taco makeup room and urges them to use the Dollar Tree Store accessory wall wisely.

Anyway, at this point, I'd be perfectly happy with either Amanda or Sean winning.

I kept screaming 'BEST WESTERN??? BEEEEST WEEEEESTERRRRRN?????' I live alone. I'm going the Full Edie...Big AND Little.

My two favorite outfits from last night were Char's actually. The Italian print shorts and top and the hoodie dress. Fabulous. Adorable. And totally her. If we saw stuff like that all season, I would have been on her side.

I guess Amanda for the win? I liked the long dress with the blue, I guess. The jewelry is sensational though. Great stuff, and that could actually be a smart way for her to take her career.

I, personally, liked those separates Sean was creating for his show. I think they only needed touches of orange to make the collection cohesive. But what do I know?

One thing. I know one thing. Kini's denim collection is TERRIBLE. I mean...AWFUL. Poor dear.

I don't get why they focused on the sight-seeing tours in Rome versus showing the designers' fashion moments like visiting Ferragamo or having lunch with Anna Dello Russo. That would have been more pertinent and educational.

I miss those real bitches, Jay, and Wendy Pepper.

I didn't see this one coming - Mondo has designed for Crocs.

Don't read any further if you haven't watched the finale yet (DUH)...





I think the judges made the right call. I think Sean's collection showed the most stylishness and taste and he had the strongest voice. I also love the creative risks he took throughout the season. Like Tim, I really loved the way the color kept getting dialed up and up and up until that gorgeous final orange dress. If this is where he's at at 24, I think he's got a bright future.

I did feel bad for Amanda. So close after getting this second chance. But I really think she made the most of that second chance. She was so much more confident than she was in season 11. She seems like such a smart, talented and sensitive person. I hope things work out well for her. I also LOVED that as Amanda was leaving the runway, Nina yelled out to her "You will see your clothes in Marie Claire!"

I felt bad for Amanda as well but did agree with the judges' final decision.

That Sean knows how to tell a story as a designer. But, I'd like to see a collection from him that doesn't feature fringe. Amanda acquitted herself well indeed. It's just that a couple of her pieces struck me as tricked-out muumuus. Arguably, Kini overused denim in his collection but he set the bar for execution. And in the end, Char pleasantly surprised me with a collection that showed loads of promise in the urban chic space; I get her fly girl who is a wiz at re-purposing garments. Overall, it was a very competitive finale.
