Have a wonderful time, and don't get so drunk on limoncello that you don't remember how you got home!
Margo in the Cinque Terre! But of COURSE! We're spending the longest stay there--3days, in La Spezia, actually--and I'm hoping that where we're going to hike and relax.
I'm so glad you mentioned a tour of La Scala--I've been looking at the website and they don't mention anything about a tour. We've gone on the Metropolitan Opera tour and we're hoping to see La Scala backstage. Our hotel is right behind the Duomo, so walking around Milan should be easy.
And C&L--it's not the wine during dinner--it's the limoncello AFTER that gets you!

My wife is now officially jealous
Have a great trip - We'll miss you.
How magnifico! Have a marvellous trip.
Have a marvelous trip! Be careful and take lots of pictures to share with us when you get home. Also, add my name to those who are EXTREMELY jealous.
There's an indoor mall with glass ceilings near Il Duomo. You must check out the murals depicting North, South, East and West.
A boy went back to Italy.......
I hope you don't come back with some Europhile Renata Tebaldi crap for your avatar - we love Dolores!

Oooh! Have a great time in Italy. My roommate is from there, so I'll ask her if she can suggest any must do's!
Off to the Cinque Terre (and points north)!
Ciao belli!
If PalJoey is checking in Glebb sends lots of hugs and hopes that he is having a hell of a good time!
Would it be sacriligious to come back from Turin with an official Shroud of Turin Souvenir Pashmina?
Sueleen?
Is it wash-and-wear, PJ? Or dry clean only? That stain's a bitch to remove.

Have a great time in Italy!
B12B, do they still make Didi 7?
Somebody tell KissMyCookie that Turin is the exotic chocolate capital of Italy. I'm coming home with chocolate-orange pasta, dark chocolate with quinoa and dark chocolate with (I'm not joking) cannibis.
Genoa is a little dreary. I understand why Columbus left.
Genoa is pretty boring.....we switched trains there when we went from Venice to Munich in 2002, I was very disappointed.
Have fun, and drink lots of Fanta, theirs is SO much better than ours....
Well, we hiked the entire Cinque Terre and ate lots of emerald-green pesto and fresh fish drank lots of Vermentina.
Now we're in Parma, so we're switching to prosciutto and cheese.
And back in the US, La Cage aux Foley seems to be the gift that goes on giving. I do hope you're all consoling PapaLovesMambo--did that Ohio schoolteacher freak come back to defend Foley or accuse him of being a secret Democrat?
Ciao tutti!
Hugs to PalJoey and PalJoey's Pal if they are checking in.
How's the coffee?
You said you were leaving the board but you lied.
