Wow.
No Lost for Best Drama. That's a huge shocker to me, considering it was ten times better than The Sopranos was this season.
Best Actress in a Comedy Series looks like a particularly weak category.
No Desperate Housewives this year.

No Lost is shocking. No Housewives.... eh not so much.
No Hugh Laurie
No Kristen Bell
No Zach Braff, Donald Faison, John C. McGinley, or Sarah Chalke
No Jim Kracinski or Rainn Wilson
No Jason Lee
No Lauren Graham
No Mary Louise Parker
3 acting nods for Will and Grace
No Marcia Cross or Felicity Huffman
The Emmys suck.

AND THEY DIDN'T FORGET CURB!

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!
WILL ARNETT HAS FINALLY BEEN RECOGNIZED!!!!!!!!!!
Wow doesn't even begin to cover it!
I hope Oliver Platt wins---he's wonderful in Huff!
And no Hugh Laurie---disgraceful!
As much as I love House, Hugh Laurie is the one thing that makes that show shine. Without his perfect sense of the character and his way of playing every scene to the hilt, House would be revealed as the extremely formulaic and unrealistic show that it truly is.

Hmmm....Big Love didn't get jack ****.
At least Peter Krause got nominated for SFU.
And Christopher Meloni was nominated---'bout time!
I'm glad The West Wing has been nominated one last time. Even though practically nobody watched it this year, their final season was wonderful.
Actually, since Lost was ignored, The West Wing is the best out of those five this year, and probably should win.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Kitz.
The man is unbelievable.

The nominating process was changed this year in an effort to break the 'hold' some network shows had in the past. Seems a bit unfair to me.

I can't agree more about Hugh Laurie. That is disgraceful.
And Peter Krause over him?! Wow.
I like Peter Krause, but no way did he deserve that over Hugh Laurie or even a few others off the top of my head.
Good to see West Wing up. It was the best it's been in years.

No Gandolfini and Falco, either. Imperioli got nominated.
How Debra Messing got nominated is beyond me. Lisa Kudrow?
Moxie - have you seen The Comback? Lisa was brilliant! The only person who deserves to be in that catergory who isn't is Mary-Louise Parker.
thanks for the list, shameless. even if it is a horrible list. i cannot believe some of the people on there.
especially interesting is this category:
Actress (Comedy)
Lisa Kudrow, 'The Comeback'
Jane Kaczmarek, 'Malcolm in the Middle'
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, 'The New Adventures of Old Christine'
Stockard Channing, 'Out of Practice'
Debra Messing, 'Will & Grace'
all, but one of them - julie louis-dreyfus - is for a show that is cancelled or now off the air.
will & grace was good in its heydey but nominations for the actors after this season is laughable, at best.
oh, and i'm glad for jamie pressly for "my name is earl." she deserves the nom. kudos also to charlie sheen and jon cryer. glad also for scrubs, the office, and two and a half men for best comedy!
i also would have stuck a nomination in the best drama category to either lost or prison break. also a best dramatic actor nomination for wentworth miller.
Very glad to see Jean Smart recognized from 24...especially after last year's snub of Shorheh Agdashloo.
Lisa Kudrow definitely deserved to be nominated, and I hope she wins...hers was the best work of the season in that category for me.
I am surprised for the lack of acting noms for Sopranos, but am very glad for the love for SFU! I would really have been happy if Lauren Ambrose couldve been nominated.

I hated the first episode of "The Comeback" but I stuck with it and I'm glad I did because it was brilliant. One of the funniest shows on TV. Sorry to see it go!
Anyone know exactly why The Comeback was cancelled? The DVDs coming out mid-August! Can't wait!
Eva Longoria was robbed. She mined comedy gold this year.
I don't think Marcia, who I think should have won last year, was as strong this year.
Alfre Woodard's nomination is interesting. I think she is a fantastic actor, but she was nominated in a comedy category for playing, what was essentially, a dramatic role.
As much as I love James Spader (and I do, lemme tell ya), I'm glad he wasn't nominated for lead actor again this year. His performance alone wasn't sufficient to keep me watching Boston Legal this season.
Anyway -- no Lost? Huh? I'm not at all surprised by the lack of acting nominations (though one for the guy who played Desmond, awesome), but I really do think it was at least one of the five best dramas this past season. And Mary-Louise Parker should've been nominated for Weeds.
I hate Grey's Anatomy. I know I'm the only one, and that's okay. At least the woman who plays Meredith wasn't nominated.
but desperate housewives is hardly a comedy, and it's not quite a drama so it is difficult to put it into a category. and, i agree, eva longoria's acting is laughable.

The finale of SFU was perfection for me. I agree, doodle, Lauren Ambrose was sensational and deserved a nod.
Out of Practice was a horrible show! Did they nominate her just because she's the great Stockard Channing? She was good but it wasn't on par with some of the great stuff she's done. A great actress can only do so much with shlock.
I applaud the Lisa Kudrow nom. I wish that show garnered morer viewers. She was just amazing.
NO LOVE FOR BIG LOVE for best drama? Are they high?
No Chloe Sevigny? (what?!)
No Jeanne Tripplehorn?
No Grace Zabriskie?
No Harry Dean Stanton?
I'd go so far as to give Mary Kay Place one, too, for best supporting (even though her screen time is minimal, she's genius in every scene). There were several episodes that deserved writing nods, too.
Glad to see the Piven love. Well-deserved. But the Kevin Dillon snub? Pfffft! His contribution is really underrated.
I'd replace Martin Sheen with Hugh Laurie in a heartbeat.
Jon Cryer? No offense to Duckie, but I'd swap his nom with one for Rainn Wilson.
Meloni? Niiiice. Good to finally see the Stabler get some lovin'.
I stopped watching Grey's after Big Love started, but I'm very excited for Chandra Wilson. Love Dr. Bailey.
