I don't know why I assumed he was Jewish.
Since he isn't, why are we arguing? It's a moot point.
yeah hes definitely not, he mentioned one episode the growing up an israeli christian
Is it really surprising that people responded badly to stereotypes being trotted out?
Very reminiscent of when he dropped the "N" bomb and then was surprised by the response.
There's a difference between Jewish race and the Jewish religion.
Oh dear.
"Oh dear" what?
Oh dear GOD
"Y'all have the choice to behave the way you do. We post what we choose to say. You can choose to be nice, or ignore me, but y'all decide to call me names. *shrug*"
Nitsua, if you're outspoken enough to make inflammatory posts, then you've got to be prepared that there are others as outspoken as you are who will take you up on it. The problem seems to be that you are unaware of what the possible consequences of what you say might be.
Anyways.......... I agree that Chris should have made it into the finals. I thought that the extention pieces that he used worked much better than Rami's overdone coat.
Yes, back to the topic. Although I didn't mind the way the human hair looked on the garments before I knew what it was, I have to admit to being turned off when I heard it was human hair.
Just curious Jane, would wearing a human hair wig bother you? We've been having this conversation around the water cooler today -- what it is about hair on clothing seems "gross" but not gross on the head?
SOMMS-there is no sensible answer I can give you, lol. I have no good reason for my reaction except for feeling "grossed out." I think it boils down to this-in my mind, hair belongs on my head, it grows out of my scalp. But it doesn't belong hanging from a collar on my sweater. It's all about the location, and being out of place, the juxtaposition.
For instance, if I were in a field, and saw a vole run by, I wouldn't think much of it. But when I see one in my apartment, I'm horrified.
Sort of my initial reaction also, but then when I saw the pieces coming down the runway I had a completely different opinion -- the motion and light reflection was mezmerizing. Maybe if it were synthetic hair?
Yes! we're on the same wavelength (pun!) I have no problem with a manmade fabric being sewn into a garment, but someone's hair? No matter how I loved the way it looked, I wouldn't wear it.
My apologies if I overlooked a post on this thread, but did you know you can see slideshows of the fashion week show for all 4 designers here:

And what about when those safety pins spring open when you sit down? He's a genius!

“I was born to write and that's what I'm doing.”
Yes, writing stereotypical, pre-conceived notions about Jewish people that could be considered bigoted, racist and offensive.
Great job, Austin.
Sorry, now back to the topic at hand.
I'm sure he cripmed the saftey pins closed...
After looking at the photos I can say I really don't like anything in Christian's collection.
His is actually my least favorite Dottie, but he's going to win. I love Sweet P's.
And, am I the only one who has a problem with the fact that Rami has his own boutique?
I thought this contest was to find unknowns who are new, not someone who already has achieved a name for themselves, albeit it a smaller way.
I actually found Jillian's the most impressive collection.
Diva, I was wondering about that. Did the designers rent out these places temporarily for the show, or are these their permanent studios? I kind of doubt they are permanent.
Rami's second to last gown was stunning. I liked Jillian's line as well. I just don't know what Christian was thinking. It was all very one-note.
