Having all those queens only made this season look even more dull by comparison. Their "I'm doing a clip show" drag was better than nearly all of the looks this season.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
Ginger has teased the release of her first single happening any time now
In the coming weeks we also have Courtney Act's EP Kaleidoscope coming in July
Alaska's full album Anus is also coming in July. Sharon's new album Taxidermy was supposed to be released this month, but was delayed possibly due to the congestion.
I think this season had way too many group or acting challenges. What challenges did we get to see the queens personalities in the work? Born Naked and the ball. I feel like I don't know any of the queens like I have in previous seasons. Saying that, I hope Violet takes the crown tonight but I wouldn't be shocked with anyone else. Ginger is a very safe choice and Pearl didn't start properly competing 'till week 5.
So... All Stars Season 2 sort of got confirmed... Recently the shows rights were sold to a company for UK distribution. Within their catalog they have Drag Race All Stars... but it's listed as two seasons... with 14 episodes... so that's 6 for the first season... and 8 for the next...
Ginger should have won, but I much prefer Violet to Pearl, who would not be nearly as loved if she weren't a cute boy. But I think it's pretty clear that Katya is the true winner of this season, regardless of what Ru says. I normally understand most of the judging on this show, but this season just felt nuts- I disagreed with so many decisions.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
And that's a very narrow viewpoint. Ginger is a trained singer (and is actually the first Drag Racer to be on Broadway before the show). So is Max. And Fame. And Trixie. Kennedy has a natural voice so does Jaidynn. Pearl isn't singing the music she puts out, there's actually very little actual singing in any of it, they're all compositions. Violet isn't going for insane vocals. They know their strengths and they play them up.

Ginger's real name is Joshua Eads Brown; according to ibdb, no one by any name remotely like that was ever in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway (although it's possible Ginger was using an entirely different stage name).
Performers talk about a lot of things; but we have tools at hand that effectively help us cut through the "exaggerations" that many people use about their achievements.
I have seen a lot of resume padding in both the arts and non-arts world; I don't really hold it against anyone - it's so incredibly far from unusual in these days of Facebook Envy for people to need to feel more special than they do, and to stretch the truth about their lives (or just outright lie) in order to feel that little bit more special.
And there's nothing wrong with taking lovely Ms. Minge's claims about her career with a grain of salt, particularly when it's difficult to find corroboration for any of them. She's still fun to watch, whether she's ever stepped foot on a Broadway stage or been Personally Lovett Approved by Sondheim or not.
