I've never heard Ru say that. Plus the show is going to London and it's the only thing that just bring some money to Logo. I can't imagine Ru would end it anytime in the near future.
I read that on Facebook, so, yeah... Of course I can't find anything now so I'm sure you're right--I did have the same thought that it's essentially the only show Logo has going for it (and even by other basic cable standards it draws great numbers.)
This needs to go international we're obviously running out of awesome queens. Go Ginger.
Ru's never put a time frame on it. He's said he'd do it as long as they pay him.
I didn't think it was a bad episode. Just a terribly dull one.
Even the best of these queens wouldn't have made it to a final 3 slot in the last few seasons. And I'm not sure it's an issue of having run out of amazing queens in America. It's an issue of what queens they picked; they seemed to pick more for clashing personality above all else this year.
The show needs new writers; do we really need so many of the iconic catchphrases from queens past recycled in these horrible skits? Can someone make Lucian Piane keep the beard but do a second or third pass on his sub-mediocre songs?
Somehow, a lot of fun has been drained out of the show this season. It feels so rote.
I didn't mind this episode, but I wish we had seen more into creating the runway looks, which I thought were interesting and kind of stunning, especially Pearl and Katya.
As for this season, I don't think it's an issue with the queens- Ginger, Katya, and Kennedy would have deserved to be in the Top 3 more than Phi Phi, RoXy, or Courtney. But the show itself just doesn't seem fresh- I wouldn't mind seeing Ru shake some things up next season.
I think the problem is that they're not given any time to put themselves into everything. Almost every challenge has come with a script, and one of the two that didn't was just an early version of the Reading mini challenge. They're being told what to say and how to perform it and it's just awful.
I don't doubt the Queens they have at all, when they're given a chance to talk they're all pretty hilarious and enjoyable.
Well tonight was a roller coaster. I fully believe that Pearl belonged in the bottom for literally just wrapping a blanket around herself and wearing a pillow on her head, but it's over and Katya's gone sadly.
Next week **** is getting cutthroat. As you all know it's Music Video time, but there's a catch. There's actually a loser of the challenge this time and not just failing to make the top 3. They'll be edited out of the final video.

Pearl and Kennedy should have been in the bottom two, but it was a toss up for me as to who did worse. It was appalling to see Pearl be safe.
With Katya and Kennedybin the bottom two, I knew in my gut Kennedy was going home... Til the lipsync happened and Kennedy was HUNGRY for it.
I, too, thought Pearl was going to lip synch when she walked out in that lumpy blanket. Very strange; Ru always has a pre-set agenda, though, I think, and even a lopsided pillow on the head wasn't going to change it this week.
I do weary of that constantly-on-the-rag Visage, shooting daggers at anyone who dares disagree with her nasty (and personal) opinions. I know her job is to be (more or less) the Bad Cop, but it has worn really thin, as she's just not charismatic enough to make the bad Cop act look like anything more than pre-or-post-menstrual bitchiness (with no significant talent or reputation to make her opinions attention-worthy).
And to anyone who thinks Santino Rice is an expert on fashion (or anything else) - I have a deed on a bridge that you might like to buy.
I don't love Visage, but I did love her rebuke to Carson's statement that Ginger's outfit wasn't whimsical enough.
I am very sad to see Katya go. She was really the heart of the season.
Agreed on both points - Visage's positive statements are so rare, they're refreshing like water in the desert.
And the show will be a lot less funny for the next few weeks without Katya.
Who will go next? Ginger or Kennedy? It seems unlikely at this point that it would be either Pearl or Violet, who both appear to have favorite status.
Man, last night solidified the fact that this season is total bullish*t. We'd better get one hell of an ALL-STARS 2 this year to make up for this horrendous f*ckery.
"Horrendous F*ckery" would be such a great title for something.
I got home from San Francisco last night and ran out of the house to catch a friend sing at Hardware, so I missed the episode...but it was spoiled for me as I walked into Hardware. I'm not sure I want to watch it tonight. My blood pressure can't take it.

Kennedy was just terrible this week. The lipsync is all that saved her.
Pearl was just.. Disappointing. That elegant a look was awful and Visage was right. She looked like she was on the couch for depressed movie night and her sniping at everyone else 'so look seemed desperate. She should have gone home.
Violet's elegant a look was great, but I just can't warm up to her. She is talented, but I feel no connection.
Katya's Russian kitty was brilliant and pure Katya, but I wasn't that fond of the eleganza runway. It was just.. There. Not bad, not great. Just. There. She lost it on the lipsync. Her lipsync wasn't not bad, but Kennedy was HUNGRY. Sad to see her go. I did not see her winning, but I saw her in the top three.
This episode absolutely belonged to Ginger. Her character being a cow was hysterical. It was pure a Ginger move, but also Hello Kitty appropriate, it was different than everyone else, well executed and the ear tag was a riot. Her eleganza look was perfect for me.. It was a pretty dress, it was whimsical, it was funny, and the hair and face captured something about Hello Kitty that no one else touched - Hello Kitty is not a cat but is, in fact, a girl and the "ears" are her hair... Ginger's look incorporated that fact, so it was smart too.
Based on the challenge alone, Kennedy absolutely should've gone home.
I'm also not a fan of such extravagant lip syncs, which seem more desperate than fierce.

Agree completely. On all points. Nevertheless, knowing the lipsync a that appeal to Ru on a general basis, Kennedy was smart.
I told y'all Ru wouldn't let a comedy queen win this year. It's going to be some boring ass Queen who'll be forgotten in a month.
Kennedy definitely had the better lipsync, but Ru needs to learn to be careful with what he says on his podcast. He mentioned a few months ago that the queens are banned from leaving the stage after the Mimi Imfurst drama in Season 3. So if they're really banned, how come Kennedy was allowed to jump off the stage and do most of her performance there?
It was a hell of a performance (save for that raggedy bouncing split where she couldn't get all the way down). Katya did great, too. I never expect Katya to have tricks and then she busts out stuff like that slow split in her first lipsync or the flip into a split last night.
At least Katya went down on a fun episode.
Katya also needs to watch her mouth. She foreshadowed her elimination weeks ago on her YouTube series. She said she was convinced that she would be sent home as soon as she did the Russian accent on the mainstage. She showed off her Russian chops and got eliminated that episode.
Last week, my friend and I (who watch every week) decided that if Katya didn't make it to the final 3, we were done watching for the season. And so it goes . . .
I do hope RuPaul and the Producers read fans' reactions to this season and (like Pearl has claimed) wake up! What an extravagant mess.
Untucked this week was basically a love letter to Katya.

No, he said that during the Top 21 Gag Worthy Moments and Kennedy said that they were NEVER told that they could not leave the stage.

I don't agree. The only thing I wish they did was have more unscripted acting/comedy challenges. I appreciate a season where you never really knew who was going to go home and the results NOT lining up with fan opinion. Season 6 was entirely paint by numbers and you could see the finish line halfway into the season.
Some people don't really like to acknowledge it, but this season actually has the second highest amount of Sewing challenges behind Season 3.
SSo.... continuing in the great porn traditions of Detox & Jade Jolie we have another nubile young Drag Racer appearing in porn with Violet Chachki under the name Frankie Malone!
