The sequel to Blair Witch is without a doubt one of the WORST films I've ever seen of any genre. I was not scared, or disturbed, or even interested. AWFUL! It was basically like one of those made-for-cable 3am flicks used to fill dead air time. I really enjoyed the original, however.
The scariest film I've ever seen is still The Exorcist. I have never been able to watch the entire film in one sitting.
I was it in theaters when it came out (Blair 2) and at the credits, my wife and I just sat there holding each other's hands. That is how freaked out we were. Then I saw it on video and wasn't that impressed. But, like I said . . . in theaters it was SOOO creepy.
I was pretty unimpressed with Blair witch 1 so I wouldnt bother with bw2. Tho the beginning is cool, I didnt find Suspiria very scary.
I am upset I didnt mention Jaws in my fave list...a masterpiece.
I have to say that What Lies Beneath really terrified me because the wife was expected to trust her husband... they are supposed to be the people that we can completely trust... and then I turn and look into the real world and realize that we could be trusting the wrong people at any time...
That just scares me I guess...
There was some other movie I found horrifying while seeing it... but I can't remember... lol

Maybe cause I'm young and haven't had the experience of having a giant shark come at me from a giant screen, but I don't think JAWS would be anything without it's terrific score.
Those few notes just creep me the fu*ck out.

I saw Blair Witch 2. I thought it was okay. Not as bad as its reputation has made it out to be, but no match for the original, IMHO. A few creepy scenes, and a VERY good performance by Kim Director.

I forgot Audition!
The scary thing about this flick is that at 1st you think its gonna be a Rom-Com but at the very end it takes a gut-wrenching turn into the most horrifying ending of all time.
I thought the 'Saw' movies were just very "bloody", not scary. Those were the last scariest movies I saw.

bump for the season!
Pet Sematary terrified me in middle school. I haven't been scared to the same degree by a movie since.
