lol. I can't stand some liberals. They make me sick. Sick sick sick, too my stomach. (Some of them, not all)

Now, if a mature liberal would like to make a valid opinion worthy of being read, please do. Updated On: 1/13/05 at 04:34 PM

xX - I didn't mean that you yourself were ridiculous. I just meant that I thought the "love the sinner, hate the sin" thing is ridiculous.

OT, but we live in a country where a man recently got elected to the Senate whose primary goal is to say that homosexuals should be allowed TEACH in the classroom. Bush has said that he's one of his favorite people. If THAT's not saying that all you are is gay, I don't now what is.

I understand many of the comments that those of you who support "her choice" to perform.

I only listed the gay/lesbian issue because this President has made squelching us a major part of his agenda. In voting for him, this means that one supports his agenda.

Let us not forget the other attrocities of which this President is guilty: Reversing affirmitive action, eliminating social services, allowing a CIA operative's name to be released to the public (and then not having an investigation to find out who leaked her name), reading that Goat book while the World Trade Center was attacked and burned, losing our respect with almost all of the rest of the world and putting us into a war that has put the USA into so much debt that we are now the most heavily indebted country in the world.

An inauguration is a celebration. Which of these things deserves to be celebrated?

While you may be right or wrong, you are missing the point. the People elected Bush into the next term as President. He will be the next president for four more years. He didn't vote himself in, he won. The people obviously thought that he deserved to be in office longer. Now, you also have only stated the bad things he has done. Bush has accomplished a lot.

no matter what, gay, straight, liberal, democrat, or transgendered libertarian with a penchant for fascist regimes, whatever: the best work Cheno's ever done was as Mr. Noodle's sister Miss Noodle on Sesame Street and that's how I'll always remember her....sigh....life is sweet!

AMEN, Ljay889!!!

I find this thread utterly immature and quite ridiculous.
The woman can perform for who she pleases and have whatever political/moral view she pleases. Its the same for everyone. And anyone who challenges that doesn't understand the concept of America. Anyone who turns their back on Chenoweth because of this: Shame on YOU!!!

Thank You- Kangaroo, once again a great point. I love how they are naming all the bad things Bush did. But Clinton was an angel right? Oh no, he didn't committ adultery, nooooo but as they says "he is one of the best president's we have had". Riiight.

I agree, you shouldn't judge Kristen for what she decides to do in her own life. If you are a true fan, you will remain a fan. You should decide if you like her mainly from what she does on the stage. She obviously is going to do this, whether or not we have this discussion on this board.

How you'd all be crying foul if someone tried to tell you you couldn't take a job that would advance your career because their beliefs didn't jell with yours.

"The people obviously thought that he deserved to be in office longer."

Not this person. Nor 49% of this country. Unless the only "people" in the country you think count are the ones who voted for Bush.

Bush got the majority of the votes, which is what I was implying. In no way did I mean that Bush's supporters were the only ones who counted in America. The people voted, and his win was the result of that election...
And if this is what Kristen believes in, and wants to do, stop criticizing her for doing it.

No argument from me, samiam, but the woman has the right to perform for the Iraqi insurgents if she wanted to.

'Oh no, he didn't committ adultery, nooooo'

If somewhere in your mind you can equate a bl*w j*b with lying to the American public regarding a war in which Over 1300 young men and women have died, as well as advocating CHANGING THE CONSTITUTION TO ENSURE DISCRIMINATION IS THE LAW OF THE LAND, then, as Shakespeare once wrote, you have some sick offense within your mind.

She can sing for whomever she wants. I can like it or not. I can chose to see her shows or not.

My mother refuses to watch any movie with Susan Sarandon in it. She also voted for Bush even though her own son is in a committed realtionship that is as valid as any of her other children's. So is her brother. Talk about a slap in the face.

Personally; I wont go see her in anything. She is to Kathie Lee for me. I did catch her on Candide last night and I thought her "glitter and be gay" number was mediocre. I have seen many do a much better job.

He also did No Child Left Behind...
Increased Homeland security
and he reached out to the victims of the 9/11 attacks

Ljay- When you stop generalizing about "liberals," I'll talk to you about politics. Until then, you can kiss my ass.

As for Chenoweth- she's entitled to her political opinions, even if I disagree with them. The inauguration is a big event, and it's an honor to perform there. How many of you were leaping all over Elton John for accepting the Kennedy Center Honor? Or is it just that you already dislike Chenoweth and are using this as another excuse to bash her?

Being a Republican doesn't mean being a homophobe, believe it or not. There isn't a Republican party manifesto that states that their express purpose is to bash gays into oblivion, just as there isn't one that says all Democrats must be GLBT-friendly. Life is never that black-and-white and you should know that.

Kangaroo- I find the educational philosophy behind No Child Left Behind to be bull****, and any President with half a brain would have known to increase security and reach out to victims after 9/11. But if you like we can take this to the OT board. re: Shame on Kristin Chenoweth Updated On: 1/13/05 at 05:02 PM
