Art, did you not read the title of the thread? i JUST GOT Healthcare.
Anyway, she did better than this reported did... oh and its MSNBC the PRAVDA of the USA in case you thought it was FOX
MSNBC anchor Mara Schiavocampo had an aggravating experience when she attempted to sign up for the health insurance exchanges which opened on Tuesday. She did her best to navigate a glitching website and talk to a representative to resolve her issues, but had no luck in signing up for that aspect of the Affordable Care Act.
Schiavocampo began by walking viewers through the log-in process on the New York state exchange website.
“So this is step two, filling out personal information about me and my family before I get to the final step of choosing a plan,” she said. “I keep getting this error page. It won’t let me progress past identifying — it won’t let me progress past verifying personal information, so I’m going to call the help number and see what they have to say.”
30 minutes later, after failing to have her issues resolved by any of the means provided by the federal government, Schiavocampo confessed that she was becoming frustrated.
“This is the second call so I’ve probably spent 20 minutes on the phone now,” she said. “We started about 35 minutes ago. So, at this point I’m going to hang up and call it a day.”
“If I were signing up for myself, this is where my patience would be exhausted,” Schiavocampo confessed.

Posted: 10/1/13 at 3:46pmYes, I read the title. I understand that she just got healthcare. Your assumption though is that she didn't have it until now because she couldn't afford it. She never said that was the reason. That's your assumption.

I like that Republitards are saying "See!!! The websites aren't working!! We told you it was a mistake and a bad idea!!!"
Anyone who thought the websites wouldn't crash when tens of millions of people tried to access them at one time are truly republitarded.

Jordan - loved the link! Cannot wait to ask my conservative republican Obama-hating father which he thinks is better.
I just asked my coworker and she said - it's the same thing so I didn't catch her.

Posted: 10/1/13 at 4:02pmI think people who are on their daddy's healthcare plan and are over 18 need to not talk or judge other people for what they have purchased. I can't wait to see what happens when they are forced to do it on their own.

Posted: 10/1/13 at 4:18pmWe have had no problems accessing the California website. It's fantastic. My co-worker, who is turning 60 this Friday, looked at the different plans offered. She could pay as low as $1 for basic coverage and up to $150 for max non-HMO coverage monthly. I guess this is what the Republicans didn't want us to find out...

Super @ LALALand
It's been suggested that ACA's overall success is tied to CA's success in rolling it out.

this reminds me of shoppers talking on their IPHONES while paying for their beer with food stamps while wearing $200 tennis shoes
The scenario you are describing is impossible and untrue. You cannot purchase beer (or any other alcoholic beverage for that matter) with SNAP. The list of products you can purchase on SNAP is (and has always been) extremely specific.
While we're at it, a number of major providers are offering free iphones with a new two year agreement.
Try again.

Posted: 10/1/13 at 4:55pmHey Sue I thought MSNBC was a LIBERAL MEDIA outlet. Why would they do a news story critical of the ACA when they are so liberal?

Joe, please tell me youre denying they are liberal.
please put that in print. PLEASE!!!!
because some things even they cant ignore, especially when they are on LIVE TV

Is it a coincidence the government shut down the day ACA went active?
I THINK NOT.
Our forefathers, who all had the same political vision for our country and were always on the same page, would be vomiting into their tricorn hats that they undoubtedly always wore.

Adamgreer, it sounds like you're talking to our old friend Abbynormal. But she's been replaced, hasn't she?
I've been doing my own grocery shopping for quite a few years now, so I can only imagine that I've been behind any number of people using food assistance programs. But not since the days when there were actual coupons I have ever been aware of the fact--much less noticed their phones or how much their shoes cost.
But poor Abby was always stuck behind some welfare cheat buying malt liquor with a SNAP card, while wearing Manolos and yakking on the latest iPhone.

This thread and Cassandra's experience will only anger and PISS OFF critics. They will keep going on and on talking about how its communism and unconstitutional and all this other ditto spew.
Sue focused on Cassandra getting Cher tickets and how she got them and how she paid for them. (what fuc*ing business is it of yours anyway?)Rather then being happy that she got healthcare at such a great price she focused on, and more or less proved, that what these Obama haters have been saying is nothing more than a LIE. What Sue and Mikey have been saying Cassandra has disproved.
More and more people are going to find out that what they have been told is a lie. Once people discover the benefits and how good this is all these critics are gonna be exposed as nothing more than liars.
Sue, why are you so worked up? You feel being FORCED to get insurance is Stalin-esque? Don't buy health insurance. Also, don't get sick. Ever. If you do, go to another country to get treated. When you need it you will ignore and dismiss your criticism and play along as if you were for it all along. When you turn 26 and are no longer on your parent's insurance, then come back and complain. At least you will be paying out of your own pocket for any health insurance instead of free loading off Mommy and Daddy.
