That 20km walk was interesting. In dreadful conditions, there were records and PBs. Hmm. Has anyone bothered to measure these courses?

The US Women's Indoor Volleyball team completely DOMINATED the Cuban volleyball team, 3 sets to 0 to move onto the gold medal match. Cuba had beaten the US earlier in the preliminaries 3-0.

The US has NEVER won an Olympic gold medal in women's volleyball, and this is the first appearance in the gold medal match for the US since 1984.

So glad this group of girls is guaranteed a medal! They deserve it. They will play either Brazil (Ranked 1 in the world) or China (Ranked 6 in the world). The US defeated China earlier in the preliminaries (and the coach of the US team is considered the most famous female athlete in Chinese history).
