OK, I'll probably get grief for this, but I'm starting to get a little tired of ALL the coverage of Phelps. I get the significance of his accomplishments, but there are other stories. How about a little prime-time-love for some of the lesser sports? At least summaries and highlights. There are more than four sports in these Olympics, right?

mad - that's the way coverage goes. They have a big, beefy, white, American male who is setting Olympic standards - the old guard wins. You should be thankful they're showing anything else at all.

If and when he doesn't win a gold, it will back off. Til then, this IS the Olympics, in some people's mind.

MadBrain, I love Phelps, but I agree with you. I would like to see more features on other USA athletes and even ones from around the world. There are already other countries we aren't seeing in primetime that I would like to see.

Yes, she's a woman and we love her. She's been providing some very entertaining and informative video-essays between events. Showing us ignorant USAers a little bit more to appreciate about China.

Sorry, she just had the manliest voice I think I've ever heard on a woman. Obviously I realized she was female when I saw her in the studio.

Great start thus far Team USA looks good in the gym.

No sooner does Shawn give a 16.000 vault than she hops off that mat and starts strapping on her hand-guards for the next rotation.

And damn, that Alicia is a horse (no pun intended) on that vault. Running straight for it without a hand-spring first!
