The Goal - $25 a day or less in NYC

" Is he so self-absorbed that he thinks the world at large gives a fluck about his cheese sandwich?"

Well--that kind of brings us back to the "selfie" thread, right? One of the beautiful things about the Internet is that it gives everyone--everyone with access to a computer and an Internet browser--a platform from which to shout whatever they feel like shouting.

The other face of that coin, of course, is that one exposes oneself to the judgement of the jackals and piranhas--like us--who choose to consume ones blog-posts with a critical eye.

Fine.

Jackals, piranhas and wolves.

I wonder if he would spend more, or less, if he were a vegan....

In his third installment, he manages to break the you're/your rule, and come out as an ageist.

I haven't shared this thread with him.

Please don't. It seems to me it would be like unleashing George & Martha on Nick & Honey.

We're merely walking what's left of our wits, here...

if he's lucky enough to live that long, he too will be one of those old people he's so annoyed with.

"So, I always hear that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But, usually I either sleep until noon because of a Netfilx marathon of Parks and Rec the night before, or because last night I decided I was 21 again, but am kicked in the head in the morning reminding me I’m in my mid-30s."

Does this loser even have a job?

Jane2 it's weird how my mind's eye picture went from innocent to nasty with him. That last one was just rude.

I wonder how the audition went?

"An older gay couple sits at my bar for their cups of coffee. Come on dudes, your gay, at least order a mimosa. I digress."

Oh, he's a 33 year old bar tender....

Who can't write, and hates older gay people.

Nice....

There is irony in him chiding that gay couple for not purchasing a mimosa.

So do these types of bartenders make enough to live in Hell's Kitchen and spend $25.00 a day on food/drink?

Come on dudes, your gay, at least order a mimosa. I digress. They are very friendly, asking me about my acting career and if I have ever been on Law and Order. I tell them no. Than, the bitchier of the two says

Not knowing the difference between your/you're or then/than. Be still my heart!

In that case, take advantage of this, because next thing you know, you’ll be a bitter old queen, sitting at a bar, telling a sweet 30-something boy that he looks like he makes coats out of dead peoples skin.

People over 30 need to stop referring to themselves as "boy!" And this b!tch don't seem too sweet.

I would also like the definition for the word "saltilious."

What an imbecile. Thinks he's cool by describing a "stereotypical Asian", by making fun of old people, by reading gays. Where does he work? I'm going in there for the early bird special.

Whoever had Day 3 for ramen wins.

Jesus Christ, he's insufferable. "30-something boy" made me laugh, too!

The thought of the Duane Read muffin made me sad, though. Like he couldn't even get a fresh pastry somewhere? I wonder how old the salmon in the frittata was, because that frittata sounded pretty good to me.

The salmon was probably as old as the customers and we all know how old THEY are.

Unlike the rest of you, I find him inspirational. He's motivated me to start my own journey.

Day 1: Skip breakfast. For lunch, steal someone else's lunch out of the frig at work. For dinner, hit Subway since January is $5 footlong for any sandwich ALL MONTH!!! For dessert, D'Agostino was kind enough to give me a free donut, though they may in fact not be aware of their kindness, at least I hope not. Total spending for the day $5.43. Rollover to tomorrow $19.57. Note to self, check out hot Asian chick in Plaid Skirt and Knee High Stockings at Chili Thai.

Man, this is life changing.
