I don't think he's Hollywood perfect in the looks department - but much more attractive than that.
I totally agree. He looks like a real person and not a Ken doll, and that's what makes him so attractive.
I hate making big decisions...I knew exactly what I wanted to do my sophomore year in high school, where I wanted to go for undergrad at the beginning of my senior year
Same here. I'm a bit nervous because while I've taken a bunch of general business courses so far, I haven't really taken any of the specific courses for my major or had an internship in the field yet, and I'm worried that I'll hate it or not be cut out for it for some reason.
Aida is my favorite Adam-related topic.
Carry on...
I have to admit I don't know that much about Aida
*Ducks*
I wish I saw AIDA.
Can somebody fill me in on what it's about?
I wish that I had seen it. I didn't want to because I was against Disney musicals.

Moment of truth: Back in October 2000 when I convinced my mom to let us take a relatively spontaneous trip to NYC over Thanksgiving, the sole reason I did it was to see Aida with the OBC.
And it was totally worth it
I've never seen AIDA.

Do you want the long or short synopsis?
And this is where I once again kick myself for not seeing it (my mom wanted to, and that was pretty much the reason I decided not to see it - damn me being all rebellious teenager).
Dancinqueen, this page has a pretty good overview of the show: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aida_%28musical%29
The story is about an Egyptian captain, Radames, who captures Aida on one of his forays into Nubia. He doesn't realize that she's the daughter of Nubia's king, but she quickly demonstrates her courage and dignity. He becomes intrigued by her, to the detriment of his arranged engagement to the Egyptian princess Amneris. (Radames' father has been plotting to kill the Pharoah and install his son in his place.)
Elaborate Lives is the song in which Radames wins over Aida. Though she's attracted to him, she's initially very reluctant to become involved with one of the conquerors of her country.
I'd suggest that those unfamiliar with it get the CD and read the libretto, which is available online. I love it myself.

Aida is the show that made me fall in love with Broadway.
Hey, this is my first post in the Adam love thread, I think.
Welcome to the Adam thread, shameless
Thanks! Yeah, I'm trying to branch out and try new things.
Welcome to the Adam thread! I hope that you like it here.
Thanks, sorry I didn't mean to jack, back to Aida ...
I really like your signature, shameless.

Welcome to the maddness
Believe me, that's not threadjacking compared to other things. We welcome it. Oh, and willkommen!
Thanks, Chloe. It's a Boobism (from a Boobs post).

I'm back. And SO tired.
BG, I LOVE Wikipedia. I go there for everything, even school related things. It's great!
WB, Katt. And welcome shameless.
Yes, back to Aida.
Shameless, we're all about the threadjacking here. Especially when Adam isn't really doing anything.
I've never used Wikipedia for school (the whole anyone-can-edit it thing makes it a bit iffy for citing as a source), but it's great when I want to find a synopsis of a show.
Aida is fun. Although, Adam doesn't sing one line in my favorite song from the show...
What song is that, Mandi?
