Oh, I hadn't even seen the main board! I'm reading it now. Sorry to hear that poster was disappointed, although I can't say I would have been disappointed with MP/Civilian songs. :)

My view on the whole thing is that I would give so, so much to see him perform again sometime in the near future, and this person can't just be happy that they saw him at all. Then again, I know it's difficult for me to be disappointed with him, but still.

We probably take these things a little too personally sometimes, Emcee.

Too bad the only person who was at the concert and willing to post about it here couldn't have been a little more informative. He said he thought there might have been a new song but couldn't remember the name or anything. Well, obviously a much more casual fan than we are, and Adam needs those too.

Someone else posted a short summary, and said she would post more later. Hopefully she enjoyed it a little bit more.

I think I'm just bugged by the fact that a self-proclaimed fan isn't even satisfied with him. Not in a jokey way, but in a real way. If you're gonna call yourself a fan, be supportive. I don't mean to say that if they do something awful you should excuse them for it, but if you're supporting an artist, be supportive of their ways of stretching their wings. I know it's really personal for me, but... I feel like it's a little bit backhanded.

The new song might've been Apology again. :-/

I understand the disappointment of the poster, especially if he went with the assumption that he was going to sing many showtunes. However, what would even be the point of Adam doing this concerts if he were to only sing showtunes (other than perhaps money)? Although I'm sure most people attending his concerts are only interested in him because they were first aware of his Broadway work, he doesn't need the songs he's sung on Broadway to reach more people then they already have. On the other hand, I'm sure he wants and needs his own songs to get some exposure.

I'm not quite sure that I'm making my point as clear as I'd like, but it's late and I'm tired.

Chloe, you were at Symphony Space too? I didn't know that!

I've gotten into too many BWW spats today, so I'm staying away from this person. I think he just had unrealistic expectations and were upset that Adam didn't meet them. That's no excuse to take it out on Adam, the problem was the poster's to begin with.
