I don't want to be a damper on everything because that's an awesome email, but I wonder if a Civilian songbook release is realistic. How many copies has Civilian sold? It can't be more than 5,000 or so, right? Out of the people who purchased the album, only a fraction would probably be interested in a songbook -- I mean, I love Civilian, but as I don't know how to play guitar, I probably wouldn't have an interest in purchasing a songbook. Would it really be a profitable venture?
I don't mean to deter you from emailing Adam because again, that's a great email, but I don't know if your request could really come about. I suppose it never hurts to ask, though.
Hi DWD - April 9 is the date for Case Western. Adam's myspace is www.myspace.com/adampascal. Apparently there are a whole bunch of fake ones, but that's the real one.
Even if it's not realistic, it's flattering to say you think there should be one.
I have to go see my brother's school play. Now this is going to be fun. *headdesk*

Em, that's definitely true. Again, I'm not trying to persuade you not to email Adam, just trying to add some thoughts.
Boost the ego!

Hee, you know he loves it.
I think it's a really nice email too. If nothing else, Adam would probably be happy to know he has some fans who can write a coherent sentence.
On another note, it's kind of funny that someone would apologize for threadjacking by asking an Adam question on the Adam thread. (Which is a comment on the thread and not the poster.)
That e-mail I wrote was totally ego-stroking. He loves it.
His myspace page is where I first saw the listing but there wasn't any detail information given there or at the sh-k-boom site. That's why I was wondering what was up. I guess I just have to wait for the "more details to come". Thanks though!
"If nothing else, Adam would probably be happy to know he has some fans who can write a coherent sentence."
I remember being taught in elementary school how to write a well-structured "friendly" letter. We worked so hard on constructing perfect paragraphs, using correct punctuation, etc. Yet I read some of the posts on BWW and elsewhere and I think, "Is this the decline of English grammar?"
siamese dream - Maybe I didn't make it clear enough in the e-mail, but when I say "songbook," I mean one that has guitar/piano/vocal. Most, if not all of the songbooks I've ever used had guitar/piano/vocal, so I just figured that it was the norm for songbooks. I'll put that in the e-mail to make sure I'm clear.
Also, should I put my full name in the e-mail? I'm not worried about security or anything, but I'm not sure if it's...well...proper. I'm probably way over-thinking this, but I want him to at least be able to tolerate reading the e-mail.
I think I'm kinda lax about e-mails, being that it's my preferred form of communication, but it's also usually pretty casual. I think just a first name is fine.
... I think Adam is the last person worried about how proper an e-mail is!
Capitalization enough would impress him.
Maybe he'll take a hint!
It is Adam, you'll probably have to bold and underline every capital to make your point.
DWD, have you checked out Case Western's website? They might have info such as admissions policy there. Some people have even tried calling the Student Activities Office at some of the schools.
*breathes*
I just sent the e-mail.
Watch, I'm going to be compulsively checking my e-mail for the next two years.
Well, at least people won't be able to use the excuse that you don't check your email...Hehe
aww, yay!
Hopefully you'll have a nice surprise in a year or two, like Emcee did.
Adam obviously *could* use capitalization if he wanted to, but I just don't think he cares about it. Similar to his feelings about fashion.
It's kind of neat when you've totally forgotten about it and it just pops up there.
When I realized that it was really him and not like, my brother playing a joke on me, I was like "... I emailed you?"
I just ate an entire bowl of jell-o. How sick am I going to be later?
You'll probably hear your stomach jiggling in a few hours.

May I just reinterate what a good thing it is that Spring Break is upon me?
I really am about to hurt someone...who might live with me...only maybe...
To be positive, cause I'm getting a bit too whiney lately, I totally dig SWIWS. Like, can't stop listening to it. Woot.
