Em - You got an e-mail from Adam? What did you e-mail him about?
I've been listening to the title song constantly ever since I saw the video of the CD recording. I LOVE it. I still have to move on to the rest of it.
Yeah. My friend and I sent him an e-mail in April of '03, asking when his last performance in AIDA was going to be, and what he'd be up to next.
June came and went. Cabaret came and went. I honestly forgot we had even written to him.
In March of 2004 I found "Adam Pascal" in my Inbox.
He said that he'd been so crazy that he was finally checking his mail a year later, and that he appreciated the support, etc. He said he wasn't doing Aida anymore, obviously, but had just finished a great run in Cabaret as the Emcee, and that he was also busy with his newborn baby (Montgomery) at that point. Um.... what else? Oh, that he was in the studio recording his second (at that point unnamed) solo album, and to check out the first one at his website.... and to take care and thanks again for the support. I have a printed out copy in my house, and the real e-mail somewhere in one of my accounts.
It was sweet of him to write back, giving that the question was completely irrelevant.
ETA -- I have to buy SWIWS. I have Audra's version of the title song, I love it.

While the first part is okay, the whole Gloryday post 9-11 sequence is just amazing...methinks.
Well, I don't know how the rest is, but I'm excited to find out. I'll probably listen to it this weekend.

I bought the title track from iTunes. Really, I should just purchase the whole album, but that would require that I actually sit down and listen to it and read a synopsis...
Heh. I'm so sad. I often find myself not listening to new music because I rarely, if ever, enjoy music the first time I hear it. I didn't listen to Civilian for the longest time and when I finally did, I didn't like it. I kept forcing myself to listen to it and now I think it's wonderful.
That happens to me too, Lexi. On top of that, ("they're smoking!") no, on top of that, I tend to listen to only a few things at a time. I'm congenitally undiverse.

Hey, everyone! Just checking in-- we've got signs of spring here in VA as well. It was 73 degrees today, supposed to be beautiful over the weekend. Very nice!
Em, it's nice to hear that Adam checks his eMail... eventually! Thanks for posting that!
GG, crossing my fingers for you that you get a response in '07. That's a good bet-- 7 is a lucky number!
Hi Kim. It only gets in the 50's here, but that's a nice change.
Let's hope no one ever has to email Adam in an emergency.
Hopefully he checks his real mail a little more often!
I wore flip flops today. It was nice and warm.
It's supposed to be 60 tomorrow. Man, I'm going to have a great day.
It's also supposed to rain all day.
I fell asleep without realizing it around like...6 maybe? And just now woke up.
*hunts for food*
ugh, rain.

It was supposed to storm today, but only rained a little bit. The wind was so bad though, that it flipped part of our pole vaulting pit over (it's in three parts) and ripped it. We were also under tornado watch.

My musical tastes are diverse, but it just takes me a long time to really "get into" a band or artist. I'm surprised I listen to as much stuff as I do.
It was warm here today, too -- well, as warm as it ever really gets here in March. I love how temperature is so relative -- in the fall when it first dips down to 40 degrees or so, I think it's incredibly cold, but by March, I'm happy to have a 40-degree day!
It's only supposed to have a few showers in the morning.
"Windy with a few showers in the morning then partly cloudy in the afternoon. High 59F. Winds SW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 30%."
Ooooo wind.

Hm, I don't know if I should confirm the friendship requests of random people from NYU. It's nice that people from my same class are apparently reaching out to other students, but it's like... I don't know you...
I'm looking through my digital camera photos and I realized I have one of the supercute boy in my German class. Hee.
How exciting SD.
Lots of freshmen do that, Lexi, and it's really stupid. They have hundreds of Facebook friends by the time they actually get to school...and that's it. If they do happen to meet, it's awkward, because you can't really place where you've seen them before. If you don't, you do look like you're popular with lots of friends, but if you don't know them, it's just fake.
I had about 80 people before orientation. Some of them I messaged back and forth for a while, and I didn't meet any of them. Once I got here and people started meeting other people, they go through and remove friends.
The weirdest part of facebook for me was seeing people and realizing I have no idea what their bodies looked like. When you're only familiar with someone's head for sooo long, it's really strange to see the rest of them.

I think I'll probabably refrain from adding people I don't know at all. I mean, they could at least send me a message or something. One of the people who's trying to friend me totally looks like a wannabe pimp (I'm sorry...) and has like, 50 friends who just all happen to be females. Heh.
Fantab, that's hilarious! Just to get it out of the way, I'm short and skinny.
And, ok, I SWEAR that all NYU 2010 females are attractive. I feel so... not.

There was one guy here who I swear was trying to be friends with every female of the Class of '09. He scares me.

Aww Lexi, you're very pretty. :)
Wow. So I thought I would have more time to post now that the musical is over, but I was wrong. I've had ACT prep courses for three hours the past two days and after that I had to leave to go to dance right away. I haven't gotten home since 9:30 the past few nights and I've still had to do homework. I'm so glad it's the weekend!
