I really can't get over how gorgeous it is! hee.
I can't imagine why people have this idea about high school. Truthfully, isn't it one of the most ruthless social situations in society?
This is the most crazy and stressful year ever. I'm going to make an appointment tomorrow with a career counsellor to figure out what I'm going to do next. A lot of me just wants to drop this degree and start on with the next thing, but then there's all the time and money I've put into this degree, and I'll only be three credits short.

I generally roll my eyes when pop culture is blamed for something, but I think in this case it doesn't get the blame it deserves. Think of how many TV shows, movies, and books that are marketed to teens portray high school as this wonderful, fun, idyllic environment where all of the problems get wrapped up quite neatly and everyone lives happily ever after. I'm not saying it's the only factor - adults who now have grown-up issues to deal with looking back on "the good old days" with rose-colored glasses probably play an even bigger role - but I think it definitely does have something to do with it.

I agree with Jessica to an extent, but on the other hand, I think high school truly is a great experience for a very high percentage of people. Hm.
We're all speechless, Lexi! You may be right, I don't really know.
I watched Cold Case again tonight. It was a pretty good episode, better than the one last week. Three more weeks now.

Heh, sorry for killing the thread.
I tried to watch Cold Case last week, but couldn't really get into it. I'm sure I'll be a lot more interested when Adam's in the episode!
I just put one of the screencaps from OSG as my desktop background as something pretty to stare at while doing my AP Bio work.
I noticed that the plan was to have various songs from Cabaret playing in the background during the flashbacks. I'm not sure how that'll work, but it's an interesting idea.

I didn't know about that, but I'm assuming it's just the instrumentation, yes? It probably will function just like any other background music used in those creepy crime shows, although I suppose they'd have to pick the more sinister songs in order for that to work. An instrumental I Don't Care Much could sound very morbid.
I saw singers names mentioned - Natasha Richardson, Alan Cumming. It's much more difficult to mix singing in with dialog of course.

Oh, I had no idea. Well... then yes, that will definitely be interesting to see how they incorporate the music into the flashbacks.
Why do I feel like it's just you and me going back and forth in this thread? Not that I really mind, but...
Everyone else is probably drooling over Raul or Mano right now.
Quick, run over to Adam's IMDb board before the latest post gets deleted.
Maybe they're planning on using songs to play over montage-type scenes, the way a lot of TV shows these days end each episode. I remember reading something about how a few months back, Cold Case did an episode where all of the background music was Bruce Springsteen songs and it was a big deal because Springsteen doesn't usually license his music for TV shows and such. I wonder how that worked.

Chloe. I just burst out laughing and I rarely do that with anything on the internet!
Watch someone post screencaps from Under Pressure in that thread or something.
Wow, that's surprising. Either Springsteen is friends with someone on the show or they shelled out a fortune for that music.
ETA: I had a feeling you'd enjoy that one! Let's see how long it lasts. I see "post deleted by administrator" fairly often.

That was my reaction, too, Chloe. Springsteen really must have wanted his music used on Cold Case! I didn't think the show was that much of a hit!
I just looked at that IMDb post.
Oy.
That thread on IMDb is AWESOME. BWHAHAHA!
hahahahahahaa.
And notice the other posts by that person...
I can't get on to imbd. What did they say?
Guilty as charged, Chloe.
Hahaha... love the IMDB thread!
I just checked on that poster - he (or she) signed up today and posted similar things for Ryan Phillippe and Matthew McConnaughey.
