I'm so sorry Bohemian. Your mom and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
*BIG HUGS*
Chloe, you said that Larry Edoff might be going to Illinois Wesleyan and that's where my brother goes to school.
Sorry I didn't mean to kill the thread
I forgot to tell you guys what I saw earlier today. I was eating lunch at this Cuban restaurant across the street from my dorm this afternoon. It wasn't very crowded - aside from me, there was one couple and a group of about 4 or 5 young men at the very front of the restaurant, and there was only one waiter working the lunch shift. Anyway, the waiter went into the kitchen to get something, and all of a sudden I hear the young men laughing and the front door of the restaurant slamming loudly. I had a feeling they had snuck out without paying the bill, and when the waiter came out of the kitchen, started cursing, and ran out to try and find them, I realized that I was right. I was kinda shocked because I had never seen an actual dine-n-dash before - I almost thought it only happened in crappy sitcoms :-P
Did they catch them?
That's... kind of exciting.
Mel, I don't think the waiter caught them. He didn't come back from the kitchen until about a minute or so after they left, so they were probably a couple of blocks away by the time he went out looking for them. He was gone for at least 5 minutes looking for them, though.
Bohemian, I hope your mom is okay.
BG- That's kinda cool!
I've decided that tonight is a movie night. I've rented Pride and Prejudice and Walk the Line. I got ice cream from Dairy Queen and froze my fingers carrying it back, but soo worth it. I've got an essay to write, hopefully I'll get it done.
I'm renting Walk the Line tonight! And I rented Pride and Prejudice two days ago.
Great minds, CS, great minds.
Dancinqueen, interesting that your brother's at Illinois Wesleyan. The only reason I posted that is because he's touring with Adam, of course. Hope you were aware of that.
I feel bad for that waiter, BG. Don't restaurants deduct those unpaid checks from the waiter's salary? Or is that an urban legend?
CS, your evening sounds pretty blissful. Enjoy!
Exactly Fantab.
Although it's no Raul, I'm sure this evening will work out fine. And my parents are coming up tomorrow for the afternoon, it'll be nice to be reminded of home for a bit.
Creepy. I got Walk the Line today too.
*Giant Hugs* Bohemian. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your mom and the rest of your family. I hope everything goes well.

Hopefully it will be okay Bohemian. *hug*
Bohemian you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
So I just checked out Larry Edoff's website and he is definitly going to Illinois Wesleyan with Adam on April 11. I'm so jealous right now! I'm going to try and find a way to go see it.

I don't know. If that's the case, I feel doubly bad for the waiter - not only did he obviously not get a tip from that table, but having to pay for 4 or 5 meals out of his own pocket would be awful.
Heh, I feel like I'm the only person here not watching Walk The Line tonight :-P - I got a ticket for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels from the TKTS booth after losing the Rent lotto for the 4th time this week.
*hugs*
Thats really awful, I hope everything's alright.
Have fun at DRS!
ok I have to go cause I have to go see my sister's middle school play. It's called Once Upon a Rock Concert and it's a modern day take of Cinderella. It should be pretty interesting!
That sounds like a lot of fun, Dancinqueen.
I better get going, too, in case I have to wait for a train.

Sounds interesting dancinqueen. Have fun!
Jessica, you got some action today! That poor waiter. Are you seeing DRS tonight? Well (whenever you're seeing it) have a great time!
I need to rent Walk the Line..I saw it in the movie theater not too long ago. Did you guys ever see it before? It's an awesome movie..I loved it.
I really enjoyed Pride and Prejudice. I read the book in first year and I really enjoyed it. Part of me wishes I didn't sell it back, but I needed money. I haven't seen Walk the Line yet, I had wanted to see it for awhile, and I really like Reese Witherspoon. I'm so happy for her Oscar.
Have fun at Scoundrels. I really want to see it.
