Well it's not about sex!
Chica, don't you dare say anything about the music break... haha.
Oh, speaking of music breaks, he did say "More cowbell" during one for his...I think 2nd to last song, right? I'm not hearing things? I hope I'm not, at least.
He did. I thought it was very funny because somehow I had a personal cowbell-related event in my recent life...I am a freak.
Well, my friend turned to me and went: "Did he just say 'more cowbell'?!" and I replied that I thought he did.
"I need more cowbell" comes out of my mouth alot.
I think that's the first time I read "personal cowbell-related event". It's quite a description of an event. Intriguing, really.
What the hell is that cowbell line from? Everyone always uses it as a joke... which I do not understand.
*gasp*! It's only one of the most famous and entertaining skits with Christopher Walken!
Here's a transcript. I haven't read it (so I don't know how it would be taken), but watching it is hilarious:

Even without Raul, tonight was so... enlightening. I learned so much. Raul, honestly, would've just like... been the icing on the really big cake. Mano was great, but the real gift was hearing Doyle speak about his work. He is honest, not one bit pretentious, unassuming and incredibly intelligent. His visions of what the theatre means and should strive to be are astounding, and he articulates them beautifully. He's fascinating.
It was also really interesting to hear the musical director from Company talk about what the process of doing that was like; it was all very unlikely seeming, the way they went about the process, but she's also very well-spoken, driven and focused.
Aw, that's great to hear Em. I can't begin to wonder how cool it must have been!
Explaining my cowbell incident mentioned before.
Cowbells have become something of an inside joke between one of my best friends, stemming from an arrangement of a god-awful song we are being forced to sing at Graduation. It's this really strange song sung around a Maypole (sp?), by Puritans (maybe). We joke about the fact that the only thing that could save it would be a cowbell solo in the middle. Recently, a cowbell was left on the piano following a percussion class in our classroom right before our music class. There was an...incident when it came time to practice the song. An incident that lasted about ...a good minute and a half.
Ooooo, sounds like the incident was fun.
Chica, where does that quote come from? Every time I see it it makes me crazy.
That's my favorite line! It's on the first of the "Best of Will Ferrell".
"I gotta have more cowbell!"
They spoke a lot about the rehearsal process for Sweeney, and Mano would come in one hour before rehearsal started, stay one-two hours after it ended, and would sometimes come in on Saturdays. He spoke about how he would never practice at home, and that it was very important to him that the work stay in the place where it would remain and later be performed.
Company related: Remeber I posted about meeting Raul. Well, he told the watress that we're really lose with taht he'll give her tickets to Company. She doesn't understand why I want to buy tickets, and she wants to take me with her. She is so funny. Gotta love her.
I learned SO MUCH tonight. I agree with everything you said about Doyle, Em. HE was truly fascinating.
LMAO! I WORE MY MORE COWBELL TSHIRT TODAY!!!
haha. brilliant.
It sounds like it was terrific. Thanks for sharing some tidbits.
DRS: Haha!
Seriously. When I met Christopher Walken, I wish I had been wearing that shirt. Lemme tell ya, if you ever have the opportunity to meet the man, don't take it lightly, he's SCARY.

When I met CW, he was very reserved, shy even, and very softspoken.
Wore his pants a bit nerdy, a bit too far above his waist. After seeing his onscreen personas, this guy was a bit of a shock to say the least. The thought of those pants make me shudder still.
Well, he told the watress that we're really lose with taht he'll give her tickets to Company.
Ok, I give up. What?
ETA: Oops, I usually just lurk here on occasion, but with the Raul/Mano thing tonight, I've been back and forth and thought I was on Raul's topic. Don't mind me.

LOL TO THE PANTS! He seriously wears them above his belly button. It wasn't that he was mean, he's just a very intimidating man, and yes, very shy indeed.
