So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?

Good luck, Eris! Some gusts but not too bad in upper Manhattan as of yet. I guess it's supposed to be at the worst in the morning.
I always have to watch Geraldo during a hurricane. His over-dramatization of the mildest thing is always a guarantee. I especially loved how he remarked that Bloomberg seemed "gloomy and grim" during his news conference. Has he never seen a Bloomberg news conference before? His tone would be no different if he was giving a fireman a medal for saving a kitten from a tree.

Posted: 8/28/11 at 12:24amIt's so quiet (for now) it's eerie, however, being above the 40th fl is starting to get me a bit nervous. Who knows how high the wind gusts will be after 5 am? We normally have terrible wind tunnels with ANY storm. Anyone in this situation? Will you vacate into the stairwell if things get really bad?

I am right on the East Rive/ Harborr at the end of Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn. We were evacuated but there are about 60 of us who have decided to remain. There have been City Officials dropping by all night. I think they are concerned with the scaffolding around the building.
Still not anything to write home about.
