My favorite Ginger moment is her screams of something when she was trying to hold down the lid of Pam's coffin, which was violently shaking and vibrating.
That seems to just be all speculation. I'd venture that if this were the final season, HBO would be hyping it that way. Of course, I could be totally wrong. I'll be pissed if the show ends for good on a season finale cliffhanger, though.
They may announce halfway through that this is the final season. At this point, I'd miss it, but I wouldn't mind. It's so far removed from when it was greatness. It's so far derailed from the books that there isn't the expectation that the show has to tell all the books' stories.
I feel like this season has been light on all that, really. Even when we do have to deal with Ricki and the rest, it seems to zip by pretty quickly. Maybe Nicole will kill the remaining were people to avenge her friends' deaths. Actually, she'll just get roped in to helping Sam keep Emma away from her own family.
Let's be honest... It's more likely that Sam and Nicole will end up having a passionate sex scene in his pickup truck or on top of his trailer or on the pool table of his bar. And I can't wait.
Doesn't HBO have a history of just not renewing shows without advertisement? I think they did this with Deadwood and some others. I don't think they would announce the cancellation of True Blood, for fear of subscribers possibly cancelling the channel, early. I know Deadwood and some of the others were not the ratings getter that True Blood is. But I am sure there were disappointed fans.

That was under HBO's previous head of programming--but yeah they do have a rep for canceling shows between seasons (Deadwood, John from Cincinnati, Carnivale)--however in True Blood's favour, those shows truly were cult shows, if that (there was that recent horse racing show mess, too), whereas TB has much stronger ratings and cultural presence.
"This season is only ten episodes??? I'm so sick of these pay channels and their 13 episode (OR LESS) seasons."
I actually prefer it--though 10 seems a bit low (I get it for Thrones, when the show is so expensive--and in this case it was also due to Anna P's pregnancy--I have no idea why they didn't want to go the soap opera route and have her film the other two episodes standing behind potted plants or holding a huge handbag.)
Finally caught up with all three episodes. I'm enjoying it, but it does seem more just like a continuation of last year. I also think the camp is lessened--I dunno if that's because Alan Ball is no longer the showrunner? (Ball did mention he wanted to and planned to end it last year, so I wonder what his original ending was.)
I agree about the Werewolves. Sure, I love Joe (though I wish they'd let him grow back his body hair--I know that since Twilight people have decided that werewolves should not have body hair, but...) But it goes nowhere. I suppose at least it's connected to Sam's story. I love poor, never gets any love, Sam but for the longest time his storylines have been completely segregated from every other one (and they teamed him with Lafayette--though I wonder if Lafayette is worried about Tara what with the new vampire laws.)
I feel Ben must be kinda bad, at least, as well and noticed all the comparisons to when she met Bill. He can't be Warlow though, can he? Because they were sorta in a scene together... Either way I love seeing Robert Kazinsky on screen again--I basically watched Eastenders for a few years for his character. And wow, what a non exit for poor Claude--a few of my friends weren't even sure if that was him.
OK I love Rutger and his character but am confused--is he like her great-great-0great grandfather? Because didn't we already meet her faerie grandfather who didn't seem to know he was royalty? I guess the Faerie stuff shouldn't be over-thunk.
I hate to say this, but I would be fine if this was the final season as long as we DO get a sort of ending (I know they've already filmed this season.) Already there seems like a few too many plots popping up (will we see Dead-Army-Guy's wife again? Do I care)
I also feel like the holocaust/prejudice themes that have always been there are maybe a little too blatant this season--I'm not sure if it's more heavy handed due to Alan Ball no longer writing, or what? If it does come back for another season they have to really go back somehow to earlier seasons I think and have a "lighter" season--not really lighter but more horror/fantasy and less about the human organizations being against them--they can't really go much further with that.
I don't even know what Eric was thinking in this episode. How about you treat your first progeny better before making a second?

I love a good cliffhanger, and this was a good one. Much improved from the "I can see the future!" one.
I also have noticed how off Tara's accent has been, and I haven't really understood her actions the past couple of episodes. She's still a baby vamp and is already bitter, tired, and disobedient.
I kept rewinding Ben glamouring Jason and his scene with Niall for, you know, reasons, and it allowed me the chance to skip over the last scene with Sam and Nicole. Hope I didn't miss anything important. Probably didn't.
