Some facts about the Warren Commission.

1) President Johnsons (one of the suspects himself) orders on it was To prove Oswald did it alone. Not to find out who killed JFK, but to prove Oswald did.Johnson was very afraid of the talk that Russia and/or Cuba were involved which would start WW3. In fact my Dad tells me USSR was on ALERT, they were afraid the USA was going to use this as an excuse to invade Cuba and fire missiles into USSR

2) The original report said only 3 bullets were fired. Then James Tague came forward with the news that he was hit. they then found that the bullet had hit the curb by the overpass, so they had to CHANGE the report that originally Connelley and JFK were hit with diff bullets and they invented the "magic Bullet Theory" which of course stated the bullet stopped in midair several times and changed direction.

3) The United States House of Representatives Select Committee on Assassinations stated in 1976 that the Warren Commission was wrong and that it was likely a conspiracy.

4) President Clinton believed the Warren Commission was lying as well. He ordered all the documents released and still much of it has not been. hhmmmmmm

I don't care to wade too deeply into the fray, but I have to comment on the magic bullet theory.
I can not find and link the video now, as i am not on my laptop, but there is a great breakdown of that shot that passed thru Kennedy and into the Governor. Most people assume that the Governor wass eated in a regular seat directly in fromt of JFK. The Zapruder film isn't from a great angle to dispute that, but he was in fact sitting in a jump seat, so he was several inches to the left and the seat was three inches lower, putting him in exactly the correct spot for the bullet from the window to pass thru Kennedy and into his body in a perfectly straight line, as a bullt would.

This is how the conspiracy theorists make fun of the so-called single bullet theory (which actually refers to three shots, with one of them hitting both JFK and Connally):

But this is how they were actually sitting and how the single bullet traveled:

The Connallys agree that Oswald acted alone. They have never said there was another shooter. They have never disagreed that the third shot exploded JFK's brain matter all over Jackie, the car and them. They simply have maintained that all three bullets landed and that the second bullet hit Connally.

Yep. That means there was 4 shots not 3. That means a second shooter as Oswald could only get 3 shots off.

Also fact. When the Warren Commission investigated the scene and recreated the scene, they used the wrong make. Wrong model car. A Cadillac not a Lincoln. The cadilliac was bigger. The seats higher etc. So all the projections of the bullets were off.. Talk about amateur hour.

There were only three shots, not four.

John Connally's testimony does not "debunk" the three shots. He simply claims that the second shot is the one that hit him.

James Tague didn't have a bullet hole. His cheek was bleeding, which he always thought was from something akin to shrapnel, like fragment of concrete from where the bullet hit the ground.

Joey. The warren commish said 3 shots. Then James Tague came public with proof he was shot as well , or rather a bullet that was uncounted hit a curb and him. So the WC was forced to come up with that ridiculous magic bullet theory. They were locked In.

Many others said they heard 4 bullets and their is that police recording from a motorcycle cop that shows 4 shots.

There is not a single conspiracy theory that is not riddled with more holes than a target practice.

And I am not going to sit here and debunk the bunkum of the two most toxic trolls in the history of BroadwayWorld.

JOEY why ruin A good thread with Name Calling. Its funny how the name calling always comes to those who complain about trolls the most.

Anyway Joey back on subject. Almost 2/3 of USA would disagree with you,. Including President Clinton and House of Representatives Committee on The Assassination

RFK believed it too. Before he was killed.

It's not name-calling when it's true: The two of you are the two biggest trolls in the history of BroadwayWorld. You have each had numerous screen names over the years and you contribute nothing to the site but unpleasantness.

No one likes either one of you and everyone wishes you would both just go away.

That's not name-calling. That's just calling out old-fashioned Internet Trolling.

There are 42 different conspiracy theories involving 82 assassins and 214 accomplices.

All of them have one thing in common: They are wrong.

That one is the absolute silliest of all the theories.

George Hickey, the Secret Service agent, got a HUGE settlement when that theory was published. He sued for libel and defamation of character, a judge said the statute of limitations had run out, Hickey appealed and was paid an enormous sum of money to drop the appeal. He also demanded and received a formal apology.

Another thing about all these conspiracy theories is that not a single one holds any water.

Gerald Posner's CASE CLOSED remains the best book on the subject, for anyone who is genuinely interested:

OOPS. Gerald Posner has no credibility and was fired for multiple acts of plagiarism

More Posner Plagiarism

Veteran reporter Gerald Posner is a repeat offender.
But this isn't the only example of Posner pinching copy without attribution. Slate reader Gregory Gelembuik and I have uncovered additional examples of plagiarism by Posner in the Daily Beast from the Texas Lawyer, a Miami Herald blog, a Miami Herald editorial, a Miami Herald article, and a health care journalism blog.

Yes, the Posner is still a great book. "For further reading," as they say, Phillip Shenon's recent A CRUEL AND SHOCKING ACT is a thorough investigation not just of the assassination but of the Warren Commission

I haven't read it but from the reviews Shenon's book seems to be a thorough history (640 pages!) of the Warren Commission that seems to say the report was flawed but the conclusion remains true.

Clint Hill's FIVE DAYS IN NOVEMBER is a moment-by-moment narration of the days of the assassination through the funeral by the Secret Service agent who jumped on the limousine after the first shot, attempting to protect Jackie and the the president.

It doesn't speak to the conspiracy, except to make it undeniably clear that there were three shots.

This passage from a Washington Post review sums up the Shenon nicely:

"In the end, 'A Cruel and Shocking Act' offers many of the trappings of conspiracy literature — doctored evidence, a mysterious suicide, a secret affair — without quite arguing in favor of a conspiracy.

"What the book does show is something at once more sweeping and more banal: To the degree that the Warren Commission overlooked evidence or avoided subjects, the reasons were largely political and bureaucratic. The Kennedy family sought a limited autopsy, for instance, not because they feared the ballistics evidence but because they hoped to avoid exposing Kennedy’s health problems, including Addison’s disease. Similarly, CIA officials held back records on Oswald’s visit to Mexico City not because they intended to cover up a Cuban conspiracy but because they wanted to avoid revealing other wiretapping and surveillance operations. Perhaps most important, Lyndon Johnson and Earl Warren sought to limit the commission’s scope and timeline to get the whole affair out of the way before the next presidential election."

Did you notice "Lyndon Johnson and Earl Warren" contain the anagram "al Joey"?

Just sayin'. I guess we'll never really know if Pal Joey wasn't involved in the conspiracy to kill JFK.
