Let's see, he got sworn in and one of the lasting images was seeing Jackie Kennedy in her blood-stained pink outfit. Why would he want that blood stained motorcade to even be an image for the American public? Not to mention this happened in his home state that had to live with that designation of 'Place of the Assassination' for many, many years. Maybe the guilt is just the trauma of being out there and actually experiencing that happening? Considering Governor Connally also got shot in the mayhem, I could believe he also thought he was a target.

But seriously, read any of Robert Dallek books on Johnson before you fall into Oliver Stone/Jim Garrison territory and just assume the guy was a Richard III because it fits a narrative.

And as said before, what evidence in the car could there be? The fact they took off the top of the motorcade that day, after it had rained earlier, was Kennedy's idea. In fact, the entire parade route was published in the papers that day.

Strummer. What about JFK s missing brain? The 2 autopsies? The fact that President Clinton thinks somethink is fishy and ordered thousands of pages of classified documents released whike he was Prez but have still not or have gone missing?

What about the official House committee in The 70s that says the Warren Commission was wrong?

The things about conspiracies is that IF they are real and IF they involve more than one person, they always come out. It is human nature to confess. One person may go to hsi or her grave with a secret, two maybe, three perhaps.

But once you get to four people people, someone's gonna say something. Particularly after 50 years.

Unless it's what I said: lotsa people wanted him dead. But no group of people actually arranged for Oswald to kill him.

And Oswald acted alone that day. There was no other shooter.

Robert Kennedy had a fear that he had somehow gotten his own brother killed. That Robert Kennedy's attempts to prosecute the mob and to kill Castro had backfired in some terrible way, had blown back, as the intelligence folks say and, and in fact, he said to Ed Guthman, Robert Kennedy said to Ed Guthman as his spokesman, as they walked along that afternoon on Hickory Hill, right after JFK was killed, Bobby said there's been so much hate, I thought they'd get me. Bobby thought that he'd be killed, not his brother and now he has this daunting, horrible realization, or fear that all of his attempts to get the mob and to get Castro have in some terrible way blown up and come back to haunt his family and, and resulted in, in the death of the president, his brother.

Anyway,enough noise, back to the topic at hand.

This and the other assassinations, vietnam and watergate, are the main ingredients reasons people stopped trusting the government. If they would release all the files as President Clinton demanded, maybe thats when the truth will be told

Gives a whole diff perspective. Which says when Marina left Oswald and the kids, it was the final thing that drove him to shoot the President.
