During the past 4 years Bush has made our economy go down horribly. I believe we have a record loss of jobs and companies leaving our country. He wants to ban gay marrige and abortion. He went into Iraq for one reason and now changed it to another once he found out he was incorrect. How is he helping this country? If you voted for him.. why did you? It's just mind-baffling to me of why you would vote for someone who has made our country a mess.
**i'm 15 sorry, i don't know everything about what he did to the economy just the loss of jobs... so if you would like to clear that part up go ahead.

He isn't exclusively (or even mostly) responsible for the economy, though he's responsible enough for it to piss me off.
Plenty of people would say banning gay marriage and abortion is A-okay.
And he's succeeded in muddling the Iraq issue so thoroughly political scientists probably won't work it out completely for another 50 years.

dealing with a minor crisis at work right now.
I WILL respond to this question in a little while.
I don't want you to think I'm dodging it.
Bush has made our economy go down horribly
I would respond to the question... but I will instead point right up above to the "search" function.

Look at the bright side: he can't run again in 4 years.
way to look on the bright isde Millie- but as for the next 4, for me at least, it will be a living hell. With a 2 family memebers in Iraq, a lesbian sister, and being in and out of jobs right now, things couldn't get much worse from my stand point.
Lucky me - he'll be the President all 4 years when I am in college and when getting a job is important.
I cannot WAIT until 2008. Then, He'll be OUT and I can FINALLY vote.

some idiot woman was interviewed on TV this morning. Said she is a mother and is married to a preacher. Said thats he doesn't like Bush's financial policy or foreign policy... said she voted for Monkey-boy for one reason -- she wants an ammendment banning gay marriage.

OMG YESSSSSSS I CAN VOTE IN 2008 TOO!!!!!!!
and rodney.. you still haven't answered the question
Because this country is full of morons. Full of them.
Why not use the pc term and say that the country is full of intelectually challenged.

Many many Christians voted for Bush based on his stance on abortion. They don't support the war, don't like what he's done in the past 4 years, but don't want abortion legal and the gay-marriage factor comes in as well. (Although from what I've read trolling around the net, abortion was the bigger issue)
because bare always makes me feel kinda like a pedophile.
It's the farm people who voted what their churches told them to. It's not who you vote for, it's why you vote for them. My dad is a smart man who makes, i'll be frank, an extremely large amount of money and he voted with his wallet. That's one thing. But it's another to vote for him using your religious faith as a mechanical tool rather than your brains. The ballot may as well have said, "Are you for or agianst abortion and gay marriage?"
I will be 17 going on 18 in 2008.
I hate the year 1991.

" Because this country is full of morons. Full of them."
Agreed. Morons voted for Bush, Kerry, and didn't vote. So many morons, so many votes.
And to combat this thread in it's entirety...
"The economy according to the experts was heading into recession 6 months before W first went into office. Recessions generally take 4 years to recover from.
On September 11th, 2001 as we all know, the economic heart of our country(NYC) was attacked and some 3,000 americans were murdered. Within 30 days as a DIRECT RESULT over 1,000,000 jobs were lost. That is a rediculously huge number for an economy to be hit by. The country was also hit hard by wildfires that year and has been hit hard with hurricans this year. Also, unstability and the threat of danger causes investors to be nervous and cautious(generally leading to a weaker economy).
The Bush tax cuts put money back into the hands of the american people on a large scale. This allowed consumer spending and investing to rise significantly. This and his other economic policy has lead to jobs created and a heathly economy despite all of the events that usually causes an economy to lag. If you disagree with my arguments, then lets just look at the numbers as they are today:
Unemployment: 5.4% -Lower than the average in the 70s, lower than the average in the 80s, and lower than the average in the 90s.
GDP: Up 3.7% which if you know about GDP growths is a booming rate(though not alarmingly high)
Homeownership: Highest it has ever been, especially with minorities.
Inflation: Even with the high GDP growth, it has been very low.
Interest rates: Still very low and consumer friendly.
There have been 1.9 million new jobs created in 13 months. Looking at the numbers, anyone who knows anything about economics knows that this is a strong economy despite Kerry's claims. Politicians lie, numbers don't(you can try to spin the info, but informed people will know better)."

thanks for that but there's soo many people i know that still do not have jobs and in milford, connecticut we already had one bussiness leave and another will be soon. connecticut is such an expensive state to live in as it is. we can't afford to lose more bussinesses. and i read that this has been the worst time for our economy.. possibly ever. therefore i don't understand how there have been that many jobs created yet there are still many people around me without jobs.

I live in Connecticut. Buisness' fail... that's what happens. Connecticut has such a disgustingly high rate of living that I'm surprised Motts, Xerox, Peapod.com, and so forth are there. There are NEVER enough jobs for all the people. It just so happens you are witnissing this first hand this time.
It takes awhile for buisnesses to recover after the kind of hit they took on 9/11.

Wait...did you just refer to The New York Post as "those commie bastards"? Because then I have a bridge in Brooklyn I want to sell you.

I forgot which was worse, Times or Post, so I said both... way to call my bluff.

Are you nuts? The Post is one of the nastiest right-wing rags out there. What the heck are you reading that makes it look commie?
