I love IT'S A MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD. Just love it!
I've always wanted to see Dodsworth, justme...you mean the one with Walter Huston I assume?
The Awful Truth is one of my favorites too! "Never had a singing lesson! Have you?" "Well, yes..."
I think Irene Dunne is one of our greats, yet she never turns up on any list...a real shame...
That's my favorite scene, a close tie with the one in which Irene masquerades as his sister, and says "Don't anybody leave this room, I've lost my purse." or after she downs the ginger ale, "Must've been all that ham I had for dinner." I use that one all the time!
But the dance scene is priceless, "Gone With the Wind" and all!
ANY scene in the Awful Truth is tops for me...I love the entire "trashy sister arrives at ritzy home to piss Cary Grant off" scene. The dog, Mr Smith, is hysterical in that movie as well.
And yes....Dodsworth is the Walter Huston movie. That guy was so good...try Gabriel over the White House and Beast of the City for more tantalizing Huston roles.
I have to add Mildred Pierce to mine
Yes, please definitely. I hope you have the DVD of "Mildred." It looks like they made it yesterday. An amazing restoration.

Thank you for starting this thread.
The other day, I was actually looking for a thread like this to get movie recomendations; went to the search feature, and there were so many threads with the words 'movie' or 'favorite' that I did not find one, even after looking for a while. is there a way to do an exact search? cause if not, then the search doesn't always help. anway, my ten:
1. Big Fish
2. Chicago
3. Finding Nemo
4. E.T.
5. Fiddler on the Roof
6. Life is Beautiful
7. The Lion King
