Fair enough, gun issues are huge to me. Your gal gets a better grade than Sanders. He is elected by Vermonters, that probably has something to do with it.

PJ, you must've had to warm-up all morning to reach that far. I agree that Bernie's largely been on the wrong side of the gun debate, but I'm not sure how his support for gun "rights" in anyway invalidates his socio-economic messages - the messages he's been running his entire campaign on. He's been campaigning on addressing income inequality, stagnant wages, college affordability, Wall Street regulation, global warming, getting money out of politics etc. Those are the messages that are resonating with his supporters. I haven't seen him making any promises about enacting more gun control. I don't recall seeing him give a campaign speech about gun control. I'm sure he recognizes that that's one issue on which he's not aligned with the base of the Democratic party. You can argue against his economic platform and his socialist policies, but to suggest that because he's on the wrong side of the gun control debate, that he's not all his supporters think he is, is a bit of a reach.

He's just a false-promise machine.
He knows which progressive buttons to push and he knows perfectly well that he hasn't got a chance of winning the general election. Furthermore he knows that, even if he did, he could never get any of the things he's promising passed as legislation. So why the hell not promise everything?
Meanwhile, thousands of gullible progressives, hungry for a fix for their hope-and-change addiction, talk themselves into believing he can actually win and do those things.
He's just another False Messiah. We Jews have known these people since before Jesus's time. Like Bernie, they often mean well, and they promise nothing but great things, but they leave nothing but tsuris in their wake.
Wow, isn't it a little early to go all out PJ? Tsuris? These issues didn't need to be talked about and Bernie is wrecking the party? You went from indifference to he is causing an unnecessary stir. The train will always be open for you sir.
It's never too early to tell the truth.
"We Jews have known these people ", you're killing me.

I think that fact that you have to focus on the motives of Sanders voters (which you get wrong by the way) and on and lame jokes about his age etc, speaks more to the weakness of your candidate than it does about Bernie Sanders.
The latest CNN poll says the Bernie Bump may be over. Now that the media has let go of its insane email delusion, her numbers agre growing again, and his are declining.
Here's the article:
CNN: Clinton's Lead Over Sanders Grows
So, if Biden enters the race, the picture is, as of yesterday Clinton 42%, Sanders 24%, Biden 22%.
And if Biden stays out, it's Clinton 57% and Sanders 28%.

Not accurate. The majority of trusted analysts and pollsters believe he will receive a 10 - 15% bump once announcing his candidacy. So, you might want to rethink that...
Can't you read? The poll was taken as of yesterday and those are CNN's numbers. When and if Biden announces, another poll will be taken and those will be the numbers at that point.
Click on the link. The way the question was phrased was
"I'm going to read a list of people who may be running in the Democratic primaries for president in 2016. After I read all the names, please tell me which of those candidates you would be most likely to support for the Democratic nomination for president in 2016, or if you would support someone else. (RANDOM ORDER)"

I understand that. I am simply reminding you of the fact that most experts agree Biden will receive a significant bump, in the polls, following his intentions to run for President. That is all.
Oh, okay, so it was just some unnecessary Headband-splaining.
Hell may or may not have just frozen over. papalovesmambo just came out in favor of the democratic socialist.
Bernie on morality to Liberty University. "You've got to feel it in your... guts." I love this guy.

Peter Staley's great Facebook post attempting to put the Berner enthusiasm is some sort of perspective:
From a FB "friend" who's feeling the Bern, commenting on Hillary: "who is she fighting for? cause it's not regular people."
What a load of crap. Why are folks just regurgitating what they're hearing other folks say on social media? Use your brains for a second, and try to imagine how many "regular people" have been affected by the following record:
Even though her major initiative, the Clinton healthcare plan, failed (due to Republican obstruction), you cannot deny that it laid ground for what we have today, the Affordable Healthcare Act, something Clinton supports and would continue.
She played a leading role in the development of State Children’s Health Insurance Program, which provides the much-needed state support for children whose parents cannot afford nor provide them with adequate healthcare coverage.
She was also instrumental in the creation of the Adoption and Safe Families Act and the Foster Care Independence Act.
Successfully fought to increase research funding for prostate cancer and asthma at the National Institute of Health (NIH).
She spearheaded investigations into mental illness plaguing veterans of the Gulf War; we now have a term for it – Gulf War Syndrome.
At the Department of Justice, she helped create the office on Violence Against Women.
She was instrumental in securing over $21 billion in funding for the World Trade Center redevelopment.
Took a leading role in the investigation of health consequences of first responders and drafted the first bill to compensate and offer the health services our first responders deserve (Clinton’s successor in the Senate, Kirsten Gillibrand, passed the bill).
Proposed a revival of the New Deal-era Home Owners’ Loan Corporation to help homeowners refinance their mortgages in the wake of the 2008 financial disaster.
These are not all of her accomplishments. Her activism on behalf of women and children across the world is renowned. Her activism for raising the minimum wage and combating climate change is stellar. Her activism on international LGBT rights put all prior Secretaries of State to shame.
Shall I go on?
This is what the Headbanned calls a waste of human life.
Wow, this election season is exciting. My original prediction was Jeb vs. Hillary, sticking with that, I think given the last debate Rand Paul will grab a lot of Republicans in the near future.
I love Hillary's response to prescription drug price gouging which, of course, has been in the news again this week. She's proposing a cap of $250 for out-of-pocket expenses for prescription drugs. In a sign of how much influence she retails, her comments sent biotech stocks tumbling down today. It sounds like a great plan, though, as PJ said with regard to a lot of Bernie's campaign positions, it's completely unrealistic without a solidly progressive, democratic majority in Congress and she undoubtedly knows this.

It's interesting to note that Malia Obama has been interning with Lena Dunham at "Girls"; too bad they didn't interview Hillary together. Maybe Malia could interview Chelsea, I'm sure they talk all the time.
(Are Lena and Girls still "in" now or what?)
