I'm inclined to agree (ETA: with Jaily), just a little bit, even though I do find her annoying. But then again, the Maxim/FMH spreads always do a good job making people look 10 times hotter

No, it's not quite like Fran's. She just has a very distinctive Adirondack accent, and she tends to overuse little cutesy, annoying phrases.

I wouldn't go that far (Fran Drescher) - I think it's more a case of her voice will add to the annoyance factor if you find her annoying already.

Hahahaha those Rachel Ray photos are brill! Whose body did they photoshop that face onto? Those are the silliest, most unsexy shots possibly ever taken.

I cannot stand Rachel Ray, and her appeal escapes and angers me. What is so special about someone who throws a few cheap, uninspired, often packaged ingredients together? And her travel shows teach us to seek out great places to dine, and then leave lousy tips for the waiters.

Sandra Lee- personally, not a fan. I do know she has a HUGE gay following (perhaps due to her alcoholism/cocktail recipes) or perhaps due to the fact that I believe she raised her younger gay brother by herself (forgetting the full story). She's like Valley of the Dolls meets Carol Brady.

Alton Brown- beyond irritating. He is neither "kooky" nor "funny." If he hosted a children's show, it might make more sense. Completely unwatchable.

Ina Garten- I have to agree with the "pretentious hippo" comment. It doesn't take a culinary degree to know that if one adds butter, then cream, then more butter to a dish, it's gonna taste good.

Paula Dean- I sort of like her. Because she DOES realize that adding butter and cream makes everything taste better, and doesn't try to hide it behind pretension or a Hamptons mansion. Plus, it is priceless when she licks a finger full of batter and her eyes roll to the back of her head.

her weight yo-yos pretty regularly. It could very well be her body. I think they just airbrushed the hell out of it.

I do like Alton Brown because I almost always learn something from his show and my recipes have been better because of it.

I don't care for Ina because she seems REALLY stuck up. It's almost like she does her entire show in a condescending tone.

Giada De Laurentiis makes some good recipes but I HATE the way they film her show. I think they mic the knives. You have to hear every crunch and cut. Then there is her use of onomatopoeia with words like crisp, crunch, bite and pop. Drives me batty.

I love Paula because she makes Southern fat girl recipes.

Wow - I didn't realize Rachael was so thin. The pictures make her look good physically, but she can't pose very well! She looks awkward trying to be kitchen-sexy!

I think she's cute, though.

Rachael Ray comes off as incredibly fake to me, and if the rumors are true, then she really is fake.

I'm sure that Paula Deen is a nice lady, but her voice bothers me to no end.

I enjoy watching Emeril, but his audience needs to stop reacting and clapping to everything.

"Good Eats" is, easily, my favorite show on Food Network. Other than "Iron Chef", that is. Alton Brown is smart, funny, and always engaging and enjoyable.

Giada talks about food like she is a phone sex worker. She always talks about flavors "bursting in her mouth." What a dirty pig she is. :)

The Food Network needs to find more fit cooks as well. The majority of their hosts are obese. As someone who has struggled with weight issues, these butter and cream addding freaks are no role models for me.

The one I hate, though, is Bobby Flay. What an a**hole. I've heard some nasty stories about him, and his new show "Throwdown" (where he challenges food professionals to prove that he can "beat" them in a 1-on-1 cooking showdown) only confirms my suspicions.

*edit* I just read back and looked at those Rachael Ray FHM pictures...SICK. Sick. When were those taken??!? She's MARRIED! She is incredibly unsexy. She has cute going for her, but no way sexy. Ugh. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. "30 Minute Meals" will never be the same again.
