Brightman isn't getting any love, either.
To me, I believe for the Tonys we will see Alex Brightman beat out Danny Burstein.
They weren't given an ensemble award so they were all eligible...just not nominated.
Shuffle Along withdrew themselves from consideration.

That is a terrible terrible terrible list and does not at all reflect what we'll see on Tuesday.
I hope Shuffle Along isn't nominated for Best Musical for the Tony Awards. Very pleased with the nominations otherwise. I expected a little more love for The Crucible too.

This is a bold statement as many people expect Burstein to win.

Yup! I also believe the press release said they asked to be removed from the OCC and Drama League but would be considered for Drama Desk.
Also SHE LOVES ME is the only show with an acting nomination in each category!! Hoping to see it get the second most Tony nominations (behind HAMILTON of course).

No, you're both wrong. Zachary Levi won't be nominated, but Alex Brightman will be nominated. Alex won't beat Danny, either.

Including Best Musical (which is arguably bigger than acting categories).
I hate to be that person but how long can Tuck Everlasting stay afloat if it doesn't get any love on Tuesday? When I went last week the mezzanine was half empty.
I know you all hate Tuck but I'm really surprised at the lack of nominations for set and/or costume design...
Also missing was Michelle Williams for BLACKBIRD. I hope she isn't snubbed yet again this year...

The Tonys? She won't be left out. Drama Desks left out Jeff too.

But Leslie Odom will beat them all!

Was he nominated for it when it premiered Off-Broadway? That was my first thought.
The Drama Desks snubbed Kelli O'Hara last year and we all remember how that turned out.

I'll save you all a click- IT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING.
Lots of disappointments for me. Including but not limited to:
-No love for Futurity, except the set design.
-Surprisingly few noms for Dear Evan Hansen. No Ben Platt? No Best Musical? I would have nominated Platt over Burstein, to be honest. And i would have nominated DEH over every other musical in the Outstanding Musical category (haven't seen Waitress yet).
-In the Best Music category: I would have given the boot to School of Rock, First Daughter Suite and Bright star, and given their spots to Dear Evan Hansen, Futurity and Invisible Thread.
-I haven't seen 3 of the nominees for best actor in a Play, but I'm sad Mark Rylance wasn't nominated.
-I wish Henry IV had gotten recognized for its incredible ensemble instead of the Humans.

Ben Platt should and will win the Tony for Best Actor next year. Again, the Drama Desks are meaningless.
These seem bizarre, but then again the Drama Desks typically are. I'm pleased there was some love for The Christians and John though.
The glaring omissions in my book are Annaleigh Ashford for Sylvia, Tuck (set design, choreography, music...), Daddy Long Legs for music/lyrics and acting and Jennifer Simard for Disaster, Blackbird (I do wonder now if it wasn't eligible).
Also noting that Ben Platt didn't get nominated, and neither did Audra (or Shuffle in any acting categories).
Glad to see Shuffle went into NEW Musical, not revival, but shocked it got nominated. The show was still a mess when I saw it a week ago... Bright Star and American Psycho on the other hand got so many noms in other categories but then didn't get in for Best Musical, which is just weird.
