OH and how could I forget the worst book of all this season?! On Your Feet! God that book was bad.

They're nominated in other categories...
Yup! I also believe the press release said they asked to be removed from the OCC and Drama League but would be considered for Drama Desk"
My mistake- I thought they removed themselves from everything but the Tonys.

I wish Allegiance could've been remembered in some way.

Was anyone else confused when they called Jessie Mueller "Jessica Mueller" or was that just me?

Then the crowd almost tried to correct him and he looked even more confused.

Was Robber Bridegoom ineligible? I'm pretty shocked that it got shut out if it was in the running. (Especially Leslie Kritzer.)

He also mispronounced Laura Benanti's name.

American got 8 but not the big one of Best Musical. I am really surprised On Your Feet got screwed especially for choreography. Really enjoyed it since one poster told me it was a vapid show
Will 8 nods except the big one for Psycho help? Who knows.

I also thought this was strange, especially since I feel like after all that time on Broadway they must have gotten to know each other.

I probably couldn't say a lot of my co workers surnames when pushed to think about it. You can spend slot of time with people and be on first names bases with them.
I liked his reaction to some body laughing at the hair and make up category.
two people reading names off a card can get boring, these kind of quirks make watching these things more interesting IMO especially since the full list of nominees is released a minute later to be read at your leisure.

American Psycho gets 8 nominations and not one for Best Musical, how silly.

Let's not forget, in the frenzy to analyze everything, that the DD's are always silly-I think it is in their bylaws that they have to be

They're so silly this year that they make the Outer Space Critics look remarkably sane.

I'm curious to hear any early predictions as to who will win each category.

So Paul Alexander Nolan is considered a featured actor in Bright Star...Hum...I wonder who is the male lead...

"So Paul Alexander Nolan is considered a featured actor in Bright Star...Hum...I wonder who is the male lead..."
They've billed all the men as supporting, apparently, as AJ Shively is the only other guy in that cast who could conceivably be in the leading category, and he too was nominated in supporting. Not sure I agree with Paul being in the supporting category but I guess compared to Carmen, he is more supporting.

Well if he wants a Tony nomination, he's better off in the featured category anyway. In fact, I give him a VERY good chance in the featured category, but 0% chance in the leading category.

^Definitely, though I still don't really see him getting a nomination in the featured category. Though how great would that be?

I"m most surprised by the omissions of Ben Platt, Steven Pasquale, Leslie Kritzer & Greg Hildreth.
