Honestly, I'm guessing the stripping down to their underwear would have been discouraged on national television (as silly as that is).

Lin paid for their performance and the Hamilton performance. Which is how SMASH and BOOP couldn't even though the producers were willing to put out their own money.

I had the great honor of being Charles Strouse’s assistant, archivist and even lived with him for a time.
I cannot express enough how much that In Memoriam would have meant to him. I wept, sad but happy tears. Happy for him and his legacy.
I’ll be outside on 45th when the lights dim for him and others Tuesday. Join us outside any Broadway theatre - 6:45pm.
