The production is just as brilliant as is the direction. The gift to the musical season.

That outro by Cynthia Erivo won the night for me! Hands down!
Enjoyed every moment of the show.
Did you catch the look on Audra’s kid’s face? Too funny.
Glad Nicole won. She deserved it.
Guess you need Arthur Laurents directing to win a Tony for playing Rose.

Who was the guy who pushed Jeffrey Richards out of the way in order to speak before they got played off??
TodayTix send me a push notification about Maybe Happy Ending winning Best New Musical 5 seconds before it aired on the Paramount+ feed.
They can't wait 10 seconds to try to sell me on seeing the show again?

I started crying when Nicole mentioned her Ukrainian heritage. Proud of her and our common ancestry today!

Raw, unfiltered, unabashed talent always shines through. Bravo, Nicole. For the history books.

Now we just need MHE to win Best Musical"
why crazy for Audra to win? Genuinely asking.

Because she can’t sing the score as it’s written. She acts it brilliantly, but listening to the recording confirms how painful it was to hear her attempt Roses Turn. Nicole’s performance was unforgettable. Audras I’d like to forget.

It’s ok Audra, u got 6 already lol. Nicole performance was ok, vocally good but her acting is a big nope. Audra will go down in history, while Nicole will be talked about for a few months and forgotten lol.

I didnt know she was of Ukrainian heritage--makes her cavorting with the fascists even more outrageous, huh?
And, no, I wont get over it. I'm not protesting outside the St James, I'm not particularly focused on it, but when discussing this woman, I think its perfectly valid to remind ourselves of who she has freely affiliated with in the past.
Maybe shes changed her ways, maybe shes just kept her views quiet given the community she now wants to be a part of, maybe shes too ignorant to realize who RFK, Russel Brand, and their ilk truly are--fascist apologists at best, but really just horrible horrible people-- or maybe the whole thing was an AI generated hoax. I dont know but I'm not going to stay quiet about the way the worst people in the world are becoming socially acceptable.

Are you serious? The verdict has already been made Nicole won. Audra lost. Talk about sore losers.

Audra's Tony performance tonight will certainly go down in history. I think it's fair to say it spoke for itself.
The right person won. Congrats, Nicole!

Audra will be forgotten after six months? Is this in the same universe where Ariana DeBose is trans?

RWHC . Exactly and gonna post a closing notice tomorrow. It was not worthy of performing.

You’ve been lowkey trying to push anyone other than Nicole for the last few months. Boop or Audra were never going to win. and they didn’t. Get over it.
Oh God, I’m seeing people online saying how Nicole’s red dress is sign she’s MAGA. People - give it up. Theater folk are crazy lolololol
I hope Nicole’s Tony win encourages her to continue a career in musical theatre. I’d love to see her in a less avant-garde production of something. I hope she doesn’t leave Broadway behind now that she’s got her Tony.
